JAY B Returns to the U.S. With 2026 Tape: Roots Tour

GOT7 leader and main vocalist, JAY B, is preparing to return to the United States this September with his 2026 Tape: Roots Tour, bringing his solo music to six cities across the country. Beginning September 13 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, the tour will take JAY B through San Francisco, Tacoma, New York, Dallas, and Chicago, giving fans another opportunity to experience the artist beyond the group that first introduced him to the world.

For JAY B, however, that solo identity has never meant leaving GOT7 behind. Since making his debut with the group in 2014, he has continued to build a career that exists on both sides of the stage, developing his own sound while remaining an integral part of one of K-Pop's globally recognized groups. His work as a vocalist, songwriter, and composer has allowed fans to see different sides of his artistry, particularly through his music released under his Def. alias. That evolution became increasingly visible when JAY B launched his solo career in 2021 with the EP SOMO: FUME. He followed it with Be Yourself in 2022, a release that reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 34 countries and regions. His solo releases gave JAY B space to explore the sound and identity he wanted to create for himself.

Following the completion of his military service, that chapter continued with the release of his first full-length album, Archive 1: Road Runner. The album arrived as another milestone in his solo career, eventually leading into his TAPE: RE LOAD world tour, which brought him across Asia, Europe, and South America between 2024 and 2025. Now, JAY B is turning the page once again with 2026 Tape: Roots.

The title itself feels fitting for an artist whose career has continued to grow while remaining connected to where he started. From his earliest days with GOT7 to his solo work and his continued development as a songwriter, JAY B has spent more than a decade building an artistic identity that cannot be reduced to a single role.

That identity will take center stage when the U.S. tour begins in Los Angeles on September 13. From there, JAY B will head north to San Francisco for a September 16 performance at the Palace of Fine Arts, followed by a September 18 stop at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma, Washington. The tour will then make its way to the East Coast, with JAY B performing at Palladium Times Square in New York on September 23. Two days later, he will continue to Dallas for a September 25 performance at The Bomb Factory before closing the U.S. run in Chicago on September 27 at the Copernicus Center.

At JAY B worked relentlessly to show the world the type of artist he hoped to be, JAY B has continued to remain active with GOT7 through album releases, concerts, and broadcast appearances, maintaining the connection to the group and the fans who have been part of his story since 2014. That balance between where he came from and where he is going feels particularly appropriate for 2026 Tape: Roots. JAY B has already spent years proving that his identity as an artist can continue expanding without abandoning the foundation that built it.

Now, he is returning to the U.S. stages.
