Groups of friends, families, and fan clubs from across Texas gathered together, waving banners, snapping photos, and singing along to K-pop tracks playing between sets. Even the Texas heat could not slow anyone down. Fans found shade under umbrellas or food tents, using every break to recharge before the next wave of excitement. The atmosphere was pure celebration, the kind that happens when music, culture, and passion collide in one unforgettable day. The far side of Discovery Green became a bustling hub of food, drink, and festival energy. This year, the village also featured Kulture City’s sensory trailer, providing a calm space for guests who needed a break from the festival’s high-energy environment. With so many interactive experiences packed into one area, the Korean Village gave fans a hands-on way to engage with Korean culture while having fun and ensuring accessibility for everyone.

Hohyun and his band began their sound check at the Kroger Stage, immediately drawing the attention of nearby attendees. Fans made their way toward the open field in front of the stage, eager to catch a glimpse of the rising artist in action. Not far behind, K-pop rookies WITHUS were preparing for their evening set, fine-tuning choreography and harmonies under the bright Texas sun. Groups of fans congregated near the stage, waving banners, taking photos, and whispering predictions about which songs would open the show. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation and excitement that grows when a community comes together around the shared love of music and culture. Even before the official performances began, the stage area had become a gathering point, where laughter, music, and the hum of conversation mingled. Featuring highlights from “GNARLY,” “Anti-Fragile,” “Killin’ Girl,” “MIROTIC,” and “Guerrilla,” this fan-favorite activity had attendees dancing, filming, and cheering along, creating one of the most interactive moments of the day. “What in the Fan Fued” by What in the K-Pop? followed, adding laughter and engagement through a playful competition with audience participation. The festival also honored academic and creative achievement with a scholarship presentation, celebrating Bo Hee Moon, Kara Kim, Zoe Ju, and Sophia Kim for academic excellence and Bradlee Azuara and Joshua Yang for creative achievement. Fans described the festival as “like stepping into Seoul without leaving Houston,” with many noting the mix of traditional and modern experiences. Younger attendees especially loved the Random Dance Play, often shouting song lyrics along with the performers or joining impromptu dance circles with friends. Meanwhile, parents and older fans lingered in the Korean Village, enjoying traditional games, crafts, and the Chopstick Ramen Challenge alongside children, creating moments that were both fun and culturally enriching.


Fashion took center stage with the Yubi Studio Fashion Show, an extraordinary event that seamlessly blended the opulence of Victorian-style dresses with the vibrant and intricate designs inspired by traditional Hanbok attire. This unique fusion captivated audiences, as fans marveled at the elegant silhouettes that graced the runway, characterized by their flowing lines and dramatic flair. The detailed embroidery, which adorned each piece, showcased the craftsmanship and artistry involved in the creation of these garments, with intricate patterns and vibrant colors that told a story of cultural heritage and modern innovation. The audience was treated to captivating performances from groups such as 2the4, Echo Effect, FTK, G-Lights, MVSK (MASK), and many others. Alen, the charismatic leader of Echo Effect, led his group with a commanding presence, while Gold and One Chance delivered powerful vocals that resonated with the crowd. The energy was palpable as Eternal, Studio Z, and Misf1t took their turns, each act delivering polished choreography, strong vocals, and engaging performances that kept the audience on their feet and singing along. The blend of diverse musical styles and dynamic performances created an unforgettable atmosphere, making the festival not just an event, but a celebration of culture, creativity, and community.


The night ended on a high note with headlining performances by Hohyun and WITHUS, whose dynamic stage presence, powerful vocals, and precise choreography drew the largest crowds of the day. Fans cheered, danced, and captured every moment, ending the festival on an unforgettable high note and solidifying the event as a celebration of music, culture, and community in Houston. The energy at Discovery Green was not just on the stage.
