K-Pop Minicon Bring Atlanta Fans an Unforgettable Day of Music and Fun

On August 16, Atlanta welcomed K-Pop Minicon for another one-day celebration packed with panels, performances, and fan experiences at the Gas South Convention Center. With so much on the schedule, from interactive panels and spontaneous dance moments to a mini concert, shopping, photocard trading, and more, the K-Pop Minicon team made sure every attendee had something to dive into.

The mini concert stole the spotlight this year with Kevin Woo, the U-KISS alumnus whose decade-long career includes hit music, Broadway’s KPOP, and Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters, where he stars as ‘Mystery’ from the ‘Saja Boys.’ Gas South Theater practically buzzed with anticipation the moment his silhouette appeared on stage. Opening with his 2021 single Got It, Kevin officially made his Atlanta debut, delivering a performance that had fans singing and cheering from start to finish.

Beomhan brought the heat from the very first beat. Known for his explosive dance moves, magnetic energy, and electrifying stage presence, Beomhan had the audience on their feet instantly. Performing his latest single, D.U.M., he proved why fans are buzzing about him as one of the brightest solo acts rising in the K-Pop scene. Between his sharp choreography and playful charisma, Beomhan turned the Gas South Theater into his personal stage playground.

Hohyun offered a contrasting but equally captivating vibe. With a soulful voice and a heartfelt presence, Hohyun shared unreleased tracks from his upcoming album, giving fans a sneak peek at the music he’s been pouring his heart into. He also took a moment to speak candidly about mental health, creating a space where fans could feel seen and heard. Hohyun’s performance was a reminder that K-Pop isn’t just about high-energy moves—it’s about the emotions and stories that connect artists and fans.

One of the most special parts of an intimate event like K-Pop Minicon is seeing how fans connect directly with the artists who have shaped their journeys. Meet and greet packages gave attendees a moment to share personal stories, artwork inspired by K-pop Demon Hunters, and messages of gratitude, creating a space where music and fandom intersected in a meaningful way.

Panels covered something for every fan, from K-Pop Family Feud and bingo to 18+ discussions. Every room was designed to feel welcoming, giving fans of any group or genre a place to connect. The iHeartRadio K-Factor Podcast went live in the theater, offering behind-the-scenes conversations with artists and industry insiders. Meanwhile, the popular karaoke room, K-drama watch space, and craft panels provided a chill retreat from the bustling floor, and when fans were ready, photocard trading, photo ops, and vendor booths were ready to pull them back in.
