The “EVE” world tour departed in Seoul last month before landing in the US for eleven shows in the states.

BIBI officially debuted in 2019 after competing on “The Fan” and placing as the runner-up. She smashed onto the scene with K-Pop fans after a viral moment kissing a fan at Head In The Clouds festival. Since then she’s performed on the mainstage at Coachella, collaborated with Jackson Wang, Chancellor, and Becky G, acted in numerous dramas, and released two full-length albums. The “EVE” tour is heavily inspired by the release of her second album EVE: ROMANCE - featuring a setlist filled with tracks from both the new album and older fan favorites.
The first half of the show was dedicated to the aforementioned ROMANCE: EVE - more specifically, the story BIBI crafted around each song from the album and the fictional character EVE, a singer who was cloned 40 years after her death. The setlist opened with “Midnight Cruise,” a city pop anthem that set the scene for the 1980’s inspired character. Through the “EVE” portion of ROMANCE: EVE, BIBI showcased her sweeter songs, bringing out her talented crew of dancers to tell a school love story during “Scott and Zelda” and performing the viral hit “Bam Yang Gang.”
ROMANCE: EVE showcases incredible VCR to help tell the story, BIBI even joking “That’s what I spent all the money on.” The second stage took place after the first VCR, when BIBI returned for the “EVE-1” section, featuring songs performed as the cloned version of EVE. “EVE-1” opened with an explosive hype-pop remix of the smash-hit “Sugar Rush” and continued with BIBI’s “freakier” tracks. The story ended with performances of BIBI’s acoustic songs “Winter (unreleased)” and “Bluebird.” The similarly closing tracks of the album wrapped up the story with a feeling of hope.

While telling the story of EVE, BIBI still took the time to ment to the audience about the personal meanings between the songs and the story she crafted. Throughout these talk breaks, she showed off her exceedingly charming personality while allowing Pookies to better understand her art.
The second half of the show was filled with fan-favorite songs from her expansive discography, opening with “BIBI Vengeance” and showing off her incredible dance skills. The biggest surprise she had in store took place during “City Love,” in which she left the stage, ran a lap through the audience, and ‘kidnapped’ a lucky fan to come on stage who she sang “Best Lover” to. The show ended appropriately with her debut “BINU,” before she made one last appearance for an encore.
“EVE” was an incredible show of BIBI’s talent, charisma, and artistry. Through every song, ment, and VCR, she made sure every single Pookie (fandom) not only went home having witnessed a show-stopping performance but having gotten to know her better. The first World Tour is a colossal show of creativity and genius fans will not want to miss.
If you missed “EVE” in Chicago, there are still chances to catch BIBI in cities all across the US, Japan, and Australia and ROMANCE: EVE is available to stream now!
