K Fuse had the opportunity to speak with Joh! about some o his biggest influences, dream collaboration, and his creative process. Learn more about this emotionally honest and curious artist below!

Hello Joh, Thank you for taking the time to speak with us at K Fuse. Before we begin, could you please introduce yourself to our readers?
A: Hey, I’m Joh, and I make music! Well, more than a musician, I’d say I’m just someone who loves music. I’m going to keep doing what I love, and there’s a lot of fun stuff coming soon. I recently released my single “cupid,” and soon, I’ll be dropping an album called Discord Kid. I’m really excited about it. Hope you guys are looking forward to it too!
Thank you. Before we discuss music, I would like our readers to become acquainted with you. Let's start with some basic questions. If you had to describe yourself in three words, which words would you choose and why?
A: Honest, emotional, curious. I try to stay true to what I’m feeling, even if it’s messy or uncomfortable. I’m always searching for new sounds, new stories, and new ways to express myself.
Who have been some of your most significant musical influences?
A: Artists like Keshi, Justin Bieber, and Karri have really influenced my approach to melody and vulnerability. Their music feels honest and intentional, which is something I always strive for in my own work.

Could you share how you began your career in the entertainment industry?
A: I started out as a rapper. Over time, I wanted to explore different forms of music, which naturally led me to singing. That opened up various opportunities, and now I’m here, both as a songwriter and an artist.
How would you characterize your sound to new listeners?
A: I’d say it’s emotional pop with R&B roots and a splash of hyperpop chaos. It’s melodic, honest, and sometimes a little messy, like real feelings are.
Are there any genres you are currently exploring or would like to explore?
A: I’m really interested in R&B and glitchy electronic sounds right now. I love mixing textures and genres that normally don’t go together.
How are you promoting your music at the moment?
A: Mostly through social media and collaborations with other creatives. I think it’s important to keep things organic and community-driven.
How do you balance your passion for music with other aspects of your life?
A: Honestly, I’m still figuring that out. Music tends to take over, but I try to stay grounded by spending time alone, disconnecting when I need to reset.
You recently released your latest single, "cupid," which takes listeners on a journey through a story of longing to return to a time of innocent love. What inspired this song?
A: “cupid” was written during a time when I felt emotionally lost. It’s about craving something pure again, even though you know you’ve already been changed by love and pain.
This song definitely has hyperpop characteristics with a slight rock feel that keeps listeners on their toes. Can you walk us through your creative process for this song?
Have you ever experienced writer's block? How did you overcome it?
A: Definitely. When that happens, I stop forcing it and just live a little. Sometimes the best way to write again is to step away and come back with something real to say.
Are there any artists with whom you would like to collaborate with?
A: Justin Bieber. He’s my idol and the biggest inspiration behind the music I’m making now. I really want to work with him at least once before I die.

What can fans expect from you as we progress through 2025?
A: I’ll be releasing more songs even after the album. I’m chasing newer, more playful ideas, and there might be some unexpected collaborations too. Nothing’s confirmed yet, but I’m excited to keep evolving.
Before we wrap up, Is there a message you would like to share with your fans and our readers?
A: Thank you for listening and making space for my music! I’m still learning and growing, but I hope my songs can give you some comfort, even if just for a moment.
