82MAJOR is back and bigger than ever — and if you've been lucky enough to catch them on their first North American tour, you already know they’re bringing the heat. We caught up with the guys in Dallas just before they hit the stage, and with KCON LA 2025 kicking off tomorrow, it couldn’t be better timing. With not one, but two performances lined up — the X Stage and Busking Stage — 82MAJOR is ready to make major waves all over the convention floor. From deep reflections to fashion glow-ups and teasing what fans can expect this weekend, the boys gave us the ultimate pre-KCON check-in — and trust us, you're gonna want to be front row for what they’ve got planned.

🎙️ Hi 82MAJOR! Thank you so much for taking the time to sit down with us here at K Fuse before your big show in Dallas. We're so excited to have you with us. Can you please start by introducing yourselves for everyone tuning in?
SEONG IL: Okay. Hello, we are....
all: 82MAJOR!
YE CHAN: Hi, my name is Timothy, or YE CHAN, and I am the ACE in 82MAJOR. It's nice to meet you.
SEONG MO: Hi, am SEONG MO, rapper of 82MAJOR
DO GYUN: Hello, my name is DO GYUN. I am main vocalist and maknae.
SEONG IL: Hi, I'm SEONG IL, leader of 82MAJOR
SEONG BIN: Hi, I'm SEONG BIN, rapper of 82MAJOR
SEOK JOON: Hello, I'm SEOK JOON, rapper of 82MAJOR

🎙️ It’s especially meaningful for us to be with you today. One of our admins at K Fuse actually participated in your debut roundtable interview back in 2023, so this feels like a full-circle moment.
Back then, you were just getting ready to make your mark, and she asked what it meant to you to “become a major global presence.”
YE CHAN gave a bold and honest answer — sold-out tour SEONG IL said simply being well-known. And DO GYUN and SEONG MO spoke about wanting to be a source of comfort and positive energy for your fans
Now, here you are — mid-way through your first North American tour, with 82DEs showing up, singing along, and giving you so much love in every city. So let’s start here: Has your definition of becoming a “major global presence” changed at all since your debut — or do you feel like you're already living it after meeting your international fans face-to-face?
SEOK JOON: I feel like we are a global presence because now it's been a bit more time since we debuted; We're touring, and beginning to meet fans more. And anytime we perform, there seems to be more fans coming, and I am grateful for than
YE CHAN: I feel like we're not quite there yet. As in, we're not globally a major group. But now that we have been branching out to North America, hopefully in the near future, we can become the global group that we set out to be during our debut.
DO GYUN: We had a lot of goals that we wanted to accomplish since our debut, and this tour feels like the beginning of accomplishing these goals, while there are still many left that we want to achieve.
🎙️ And now we’re looking ahead — congratulations on being part of the official lineup for The X Stage at KCON LA 2025!

How did you feel when you first found out you’d be performing at KCON? It’s such a huge moment.
SEONG IL: We performed at KCON for the first time at KCON Japan. There were a lot of fans at the time who really loved our stages, and that was something that was really meaningful to me. I noticed, and now I'm hoping that for LA as well, we're working really hard to prepare really cool stages, and I hope that the fans will like it and look forward to it. I'm really thankful that there are so many people who love our stages.
SEOK JOON: During the tour we have been asking fans "Please come to KCON LA, if you're able to see us," and fans have been telling us they were definitely going to come. That's something that I want to emphasize that I am grateful for.
🎙️ KCON LA is famous for its electric energy and connection between artists and fans. What are you most looking forward to about that weekend — the performances, the fan events, the energy?
YE CHAN (TIMOTHY): Going to KCON LA is going to be our second time going to KCON, but I just hope that it's similar to KCON Japan, as in we interact with the fans, we do our stages, and we can just have a good and fun time together with the fans. Honestly, KCON is just a time where we can interact with our American fans, especially after our North American tour. I feel like because we finished up our North American tour, and then went to KCON, I feel like we'll have a better time communicating with our fans, and having much more fun.
🎙️ For a lot of fans who couldn’t attend your solo tour, this might be their first chance to see you perform live. Can you tease anything about what kind of stage you're preparing?
82MAJOR: We can't spoil anything right now. It's a stage that might surprise you and where we can have fun, but it's not going to be obvious, what they've got planned.
SEONG MO: Just know it's going to be real.

🎙️ Before going on stage, some artists do handshakes or huddles to get rid of nerves. As a team, what do you usually do to get ready before a show?
SEONG MO: Before we have an important stage, we always put our hands together and say, fighting! We hold each other's hands and go up.
🎙️ 82MAJOR is known for being tall and seriously fashionable. Since debut, whose fashion style has changed the most?
SEONG MO: I think SEONG IL. At first he dressed like a child, because it was shocking at first. Now, he takes careful consideration for what he styles with.
YE CHAN: DO GYUN. Like SEONG IL, they just didn't really care about fashion. They didn't really think about it. After debuting, DO GYUNNIE was actually the first one to be like, I want to start wearing new clothes. I want to start styling myself. He would always come up to me or SEONG MO. He'd be like, should I buy this or should I buy that? What should I wear this with? So I think DO GYUNNIE definitely, his style has evolved. And the clothes that he wears now actually fits him really nice.
🎙️ If each of you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
SEONG IL: I think PASSION
YE CHAN: I'd say… BRIGHT. Actually, no. I don't know. One word is hard… Introverted?… (*ponders some more). This is hard.
As YE CHAN continued to ponder, the remaining members threw out unique phrases such as "a person with a lot of confidence," "strong," and "challenging."
🎙 (to YE CHAN) you keeping bright?
YE CHAN: Yeah. I'm not sure what other word to use.

🎙️ When it comes to making new music, what helps keep you motivated and inspired, especially while juggling a busy schedule?
SEONG MO: Even though we tend to stay very busy, the emotions I gets from just while we're working and things like that, that tends to be inspirational and what I derive.
YE CHAN: Yeah. I'd say... Honestly, inspiration is so ambiguous. Because one, someone can get inspiration from anywhere. And so I feel like, obviously while we're working, we experience so many new things that we can't really put a single dot on something and be like, oh, this is what gives me inspiration. But I feel like I agree with what SEONG MO says. While we work and the things that we feel and the things that we experience has a hand in what we're inspired by. So for example, because we work in the music industry, we listen to a lot of different artists. And obviously listening to a lot of different artists and seeing how they make music inspires us to make more music and make music in a style which has never been made before or something like that.
SEONG BIN: Even though we're really busy, I can get inspiration from just hearing a single word that resonates with me. When I hear that word, because it sets off a chain of ideas in my mind.
YE CHAN: Yeah, words and phrases are really great. Like items and other things are really great at generating new ideas.
SEONG IL: If anything randomly, like a melody or anything like that will come to mind, I'll just take my phone out and turn on the recording and make a voice note of it. But that comes at the most random of times. But when it does, I make sure to like jot it down, and that's where I get my inspiration from.
🎙️ Thank you again for taking the time to share all of this with us today. It’s been amazing watching your journey, and we know your fans — especially here in Dallas — are counting down to the moment you hit the stage tonight.

🎙️ Before we go, is there anything you’d like to say directly to your 82DEs — in Dallas and around the world?
SEONG IL: Even though this is prior to our actual Dallas show, the show hasn't started yet, I'm really looking forward to the performance and I really want to know more about the culture and things like that surrounding Dallas.
SEOK JOON: Not only Dallas, but just like fans around the world, I want to do my best to be able to grab on to their love. I'm going to work hard and do my best to do that.
🎙️ We’ll be cheering you on from the crowd both here and at KCON — have an amazing show, and see you again soon!
