  • Garzón Robie’s “That’s You” Is a Surreal Mirror of Modern Identity

In “That’s You” , Korean-born, London-based multidisciplinary artist Garzón Robie  opens a shimmering portal into the ever-shifting terrain of selfhood. The track is a playful yet poignant interrogation of identity — a kaleidoscope of sound and language where minimalism meets dream pop, and sincerity walks hand-in-hand with absurdism. Photo Credit: Christian Duyckers Layered in gauzy electronic textures and buoyed by Robie’s signature wit, “That’s You” invites listeners into a reality where everything — stars, shadows, vending machines, your reflection — is somehow “you.” It’s both a joke and a philosophy. And that contradiction is where Robie thrives. “This is you. That is also you,” Robie states in the track, sounding less like a pop lyricist and more like a metaphysical trickster. The result? A song that is light in touch but heavy in concept — airy, catchy, and disarmingly smart. The accompanying music video — developed in collaboration with London-based designers Dhee Kim and Jiwon Kwon, and shot by Christian Duyckers — matches the track’s surreal energy with bold, high-concept visuals. Robie appears styled in chromatic, sci-fi-tinged looks that don’t just dress the artist — they extend his message. In every frame, the multiplicity of identity is made literal: shapeshifting, subverting, and, above all, celebrating what it means to be unapologetically oneself. Garzón Robie has spent the past four years carving out a lane all his own — a sonic drift zone where indie electronic, hip-hop, and alt-pop melt into a single, lucid vision. His 2024 mini-album To Be Honest  (Universal Music Korea) solidified his place as a force within Korea’s next wave of cultural disruptors. That project — a collage of glossy synths, confessional lyrics, and genre-curious production — earned him critical nods from MixMag, Rolling Stone Korea, Dazed, and Hypebeast Korea, who listed him among the Top 5 Rising Artists of 2024 . But Robie doesn’t just make music — he builds worlds. Each release is a tightly woven multi-sensory experience, with the artist himself at the helm of every detail, from music video direction to visual design. He’s as much a concept artist as he is a musician, fusing sonic experimentation with visual storytelling to ask deeper questions: Who are we? Where do we begin and end? And what if the answer is... everywhere? Robie’s boundaryless approach has sparked collaborations that are as eclectic as his sound. From the brooding R&B atmospherics of “Haunted House”  (featuring Jooyoung, spotlighted on Apple Music’s Korean R&B roundup) to the Berlin techno tilt of “Narara”  with producer Rikhter, Robie’s world is expansive — but never diluted. His 2024 EP Mondrian  featured alt-pop standout The Deep, merging abstract visuals with avant-garde pop in a way that felt both immediate and intellectual. It's a pattern across his discography: collaborators don't just feature — they fold into the fabric of Robie’s universe. Ultimately, “That’s You”  isn’t about identity in the traditional sense. It’s not about defining who we are — it’s about delighting in the impossibility of that definition. Robie gives us a track that is both mirror and mirage, inviting us to see ourselves not as one thing, but as many — as presence, absence, joke, cosmos. With growing international momentum, Garzón Robie isn’t just emerging — he’s evolving. And he’s taking us all along for the ride. Stream “That’s You” on all major platforms. • RYLAI Debuts with “Without You” — A Soulful Reckoning, A Sonic Rebirth

Today, a new name enters the alt-pop lexicon — one not just heard, but felt. Meet RYLAI , the Seoul-born artist who arrives with more than just a debut single. With “Without You,” he opens a diary, lets it burn, and bottles the smoke. The track is equal parts memory and metamorphosis, laying bare a confession that is as emotionally layered as it is musically rich. "I should have loved myself more." That’s the gut-punch at the heart of “Without You,” a line that lingers well past its echo. It’s not just heartbreak RYLAI is unpacking — it’s regret, gratitude, and the slow, deliberate work of healing. In a culture increasingly allergic to vulnerability, RYLAI steps forward with quiet boldness and an unflinching emotional compass. Built on lush strings, haunting synths, and a vocal that strains with purpose, the song feels cinematic in scope, yet deeply intimate. It’s the kind of track you sink into on a late train ride — or the one you put on when you need to remember you’re still human. And while this might be the world’s first glimpse of RYLAI, the artist has been building toward this moment for years. His connection to music didn’t come through industry machinery — it came in silence. After a personal turning point at the end of sixth grade, he began crafting melodies on a long-forgotten digital piano. Those sounds, initially just for him, grew into stories. Songs. Chapters. Now, the world gets to listen in. “Without You” isn’t just RYLAI’s first official release — it’s the prologue of something much larger. The song’s lyrical ambiguity isn’t an accident. “They could be for my younger self, a past lover, potential fans — or music itself,” RYLAI shares. And that’s the thesis of his artistry: everything means something, and often more than one thing at once. The production journey mirrors that sense of layered intention. Tracked between Seoul and Los Angeles, the single was co-produced by Dylan Buzz Gold, with creative fingerprints from Scandi (original beat), and Colby Lapolla (vocal production and textural depth). RYLAI , classically trained, lends his own viola, violin, and synth work, adding texture that feels both organic and surreal — a sonic language all his own. RYLAI’s musical DNA reflects his influences, but never imitates. There’s the vocal soulfulness of Naul (Brown Eyed Soul), the raw explosiveness of Ado, the fearless fusion of Seo Tai Ji, and the narrative devotion of Kendrick Lamar. Yet even in these echoes, RYLAI’s voice cuts through — unmistakably his. “When everything was falling apart around me, music was the only thing that made sense. It still is.” This is more than debut energy — it’s survival instinct, set to melody. As the year unfolds, so will RYLAI’s story. Each track he releases is part of a connected narrative — a slow-drip saga of reflection, resilience, and rebirth. “Without You” is just the first chapter, but it’s already made one thing clear: RYLAI isn’t just releasing music. He’s building a world. And we’re lucky to get to witness its beginning. For fans of Joji, keshi, DPR IAN, James Blake, The Japanese House, Stream “Without You” on all platforms now.

The air was filled with anticipation, and it was clear that fans were ready to experience a performance that would leave them breathless and longing for more. Ryota playfully declared, “I have a mission… to find the loudest fans in the world. Let’s see if this city has what it takes!” The venue erupted, to which Ryota responded, "Man, D.C., y'all are crazy." As the rest of the band took their moment to thank fans for coming, it was time to go into the next stage. The soft guitar riff—contradictory to the powerhouse stage that was about to be on display—began as the band performed "NASTY." Showcasing a beautiful lightshow behind the band, illuminating the three-tiered venue, only added to the already captivating performance that was taking place on stage. Not losing any of energy from the venue, ONE OK ROCK went straight into fan-favorite, " Renegades ," which had the crowd singing along once again! Filling the venue not only harmonies, but with an overwhelming amount of emotion, before slowing things down to resonate with those who just needed to get away from it all as they performed, " Tropical Therapy ." The band next let loose during an extended jam session, each member taking a spotlight—Ryota slapping out a distorted bass riff, Toru showing surgical precision on the guitar, and Tomoya hammering out a heart-pounding solo. Taka returned, bursting into “ C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y. ” and charging toward the front row, gripping hands and singing with reckless intensity. It was clear: this tour wasn’t about spectacle—it was about connection. Tomoya of ONE OK ROCK by BR Mid-set, Taka spoke candidly about his journey as a musician, the emotional weight behind DETOX, and the themes that shaped its sound. He touched on the chaos of the world, the disillusionment with politics, and the need for unfiltered expression before transitioning directly into on of ONE OK ROCK's most layered and intense anthems, “ Delusion:All .” This stage highlighted key skills of the group with a high-octane blend of alternative rock and post-hardcore, with razor-edged riffs, haunting melodies, and an unrelenting rhythm that filled the venue -- taking attendees from the first note. The band’s well-known anthem of individuality, “ Stand Out Fit In ,” came next, and the crowd did not disappoint as they once again filled the venue to the emotionally charged anthem as Tomoya drove the atmosphere, and the blend of Ryota and Toru's guitars meshed with Taka's powerful vocals. As the set wound down, “The Pilot </3” delivered a gut-punch. Taka fell to his knees during the line, “I’m going home. Wherever home is,” while fans held up their lights in unison, illuminating the room with quiet reverence. The encore returned a higher-energy to the stage, with “ +Matter ” bringing color, laughs, and playful chaos. The band goofed off with the camera crew, waved at the upper levels, and danced across the stage with fans screaming in delight. They closed the night with “ We Are ,” a thunderous anthem that reminded everyone why they showed up in the first place. A reminder of resilience, belonging, and unity through sound. • K-R&B singer BIBI launched the US leg of her first-ever world tour at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre

The “EVE” world tour departed in Seoul last month before landing in the US for eleven shows in the states.  Photo Credit: Mollie M. BIBI officially debuted in 2019 after competing on “The Fan” and placing as the runner-up. She smashed onto the scene with K-Pop fans after a viral moment kissing a fan at Head In The Clouds festival. Since then she’s performed on the mainstage at Coachella, collaborated with Jackson Wang, Chancellor, and Becky G, acted in numerous dramas, and released two full-length albums. The “EVE” tour is heavily inspired by the release of her second album EVE: ROMANCE  - featuring a setlist filled with tracks from both the new album and older fan favorites. The first half of the show was dedicated to the aforementioned ROMANCE: EVE  - more specifically, the story BIBI crafted around each song from the album and the fictional character EVE, a singer who was cloned 40 years after her death.  The setlist opened with “ Midnight Cruise ,” a city pop anthem that set the scene for the 1980’s inspired character. Through the “EVE” portion of ROMANCE: EVE , BIBI showcased her sweeter songs, bringing out her talented crew of dancers to tell a school love story during “ Scott and Zelda ” and performing the viral hit “ Bam Yang Gang .” ROMANCE: EVE showcases incredible VCR to help tell the story, BIBI even joking “That’s what I spent all the money on.” The second stage took place after the first VCR, when BIBI returned for the “EVE-1” section, featuring songs performed as the cloned version of EVE. “EVE-1” opened with an explosive hype-pop remix of the smash-hit “ Sugar Rush ” and continued with BIBI’s “freakier” tracks. The story ended with performances of BIBI’s acoustic songs “Winter (unreleased)” and “ Bluebird .” The similarly closing tracks of the album wrapped up the story with a feeling of hope. Photo Credit: Mollie M. While telling the story of EVE, BIBI still took the time to ment to the audience about the personal meanings between the songs and the story she crafted. Throughout these talk breaks, she showed off her exceedingly charming personality while allowing Pookies to better understand her art. The second half of the show was filled with fan-favorite songs from her expansive discography, opening with “BIBI Vengeance” and showing off her incredible dance skills. The biggest surprise she had in store took place during “ City Love ,” in which she left the stage, ran a lap through the audience, and ‘kidnapped’ a lucky fan to come on stage who she sang “Best Lover” to. The show ended appropriately with her debut “ BINU ,” before she made one last appearance for an encore. “EVE” was an incredible show of BIBI ’s talent, charisma, and artistry. Through every song, ment, and VCR, she made sure every single Pookie (fandom) not only went home having witnessed a show-stopping performance but having gotten to know her better. The first World Tour is a colossal show of creativity and genius fans will not want to miss. • Hippoplaya Seoul 2025: A Thunderous Indoor Celebration of Music, Art, and Unforgettable Vibes

We were beyond grateful to be invited to our very first festival coverage in Seoul, thanks to Gig Pro Life and the Hippoplaya team — and what an absolutely wild ride it was! From the moment we stepped into KINTEX, the venue buzzed with color, energy, and the kind of electric anticipation you only get when something legendary is about to happen. This year marked a major shift for the festival — it was the first time held indoors, and honestly? A genius move. With May being stormy and cold in Korea, the comfort of an indoor setup was a total win. Clean restrooms, clearly labeled food stalls (yes, with multiple options!), and even sponsored booths like The Venti offering lattes and slushies during the ongoing shows — it was thoughtful, smooth, and made for a seamless experience. Two Stages. One Wild Day. The setup featured two simultaneous stages -- One with modern R&B-centered performances, bringing in soulful powerhouses like Zion.T, Dean, and more. The other, a hip-hop lover’s dream, showcasing an explosive lineup led by CHANGMO and the newly formed label KC and Friends, the brainchild of SIKK. This crew included up-and-coming JMIN, the already-iconic HAON, and others, and their energy was absolutely unmatched. The crowd went INSANE for KC and Friends. No exaggeration. People were pulling off full-blown hip-hop dance moves before the set even began. It was pure hype. Premium Vibes, Perfect Timing As Premium GA ticket holders, we got to enjoy some pretty sweet perks such as a VIP-only T-shirt as memorabilia (seriously cool), a drinks stall right inside our standing zone — no need to leave the stage to grab a drink, and even extra lounge space in the back if you just wanted to chill and soak in the sounds. Despite the festival being super long, it flew by. Sets were on time, transitions were smooth, and there was always space in the schedule to grab food, check out display cases of merch, or take part in the spray-paint graffiti wall. That Surprise Guest Tho?! Okay, let’s talk about the secret guest. Rumors were flying ever since an April Fools’ teaser hinted it might be Playboi Carti — but honestly, what we got was even better. The surprise appearance by DPR Dabin shook the crowd to its core. He dropped an incredible DJ set, previewed unreleased tracks, and left everyone speechless. There were moments of pure emotion — artists like Tabber really hit us in the feels, while ZICO had the entire venue jumping. And the finale? KC and Friends absolutely lit the place on fire, complete with a giant cat on stage and crazy visual effects that took the whole experience to another level. The screen visuals were massive, with drone cameras swooping around the artists during live sets — a super clever way to avoid obstructing views with bulky camera crews. And for everyone still buzzing from the festival? The official Hippoplaya playlist on Spotify lets you relive the magic. We definitely found ourselves Shazaming songs non-stop and dancing like there was no tomorrow — even when we didn’t know the lyrics. From the insanely hyped crowd to the flawless shuttle system, organized food ordering, and affordable lockers — Hippoplaya 2025 was everything a music lover could hope for and more. We’re already counting down the days to see what this incredible team has planned for next year’s breathtaking edition. Let us know if you are just as excited as us in the comments below for Hippoplaya 2026!

On a gray and incredibly windy Saturday in Corpus Christi, Euphoria: K-pop Exhibition  lit up the Emerald Beach Hotel with a vibrant display of culture, creativity, and community. Hosted by KPVibes Entertainment, the inaugural event proved that even the gloomiest weather couldn’t dim the energy of K-pop fans, local artists, performers, and small businesses who came together for a day packed with music, dance, and cultural exchange. Photo Credit: Lorenzo Nestled on the edge of Corpus Christi Bay, the Emerald Beach Hotel served as a scenic venue for the festivities. The convention floor buzzed with excitement as vendors and artists from across the city—and students from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi—lined up with booths showcasing photocards, handmade plushies, custom stickers, and a variety of K-pop-themed merchandise. The day kicked off with not one, but two random dance play sessions. While it took a few songs for attendees to warm up, it wasn’t long before people jumped in and out of the dance floor enthusiastically as K-pop hits shuffled through the speakers. A standout moment came when event host and performer KXTANA joined in the dance circle, drawing loud cheers and energizing the crowd. As the afternoon progressed, the entertainment continued with cultural performances. The Corpus Christi Taiko Club brought a powerful, rhythmic display of traditional Japanese drumming, followed by Perfect Blue, a K-pop cover group based in Corpus Christi, who delivered a dynamic performance of “ BOOMBAYAH ” by Blackpink. In between performances, attendees mingled freely throughout the venue, bonding over shared fandoms, trading merch, and supporting local creatives. Photo Credit: Lorenzo We also caught up with Ted Park, a Korean-American artist known for his bold creativity and emotionally honest sound. From his early beginnings in Wisconsin to his explosive performances and recent lifestyle changes, Ted shares the highs and lows of being an independent artist, the creative process behind his music, and how he’s striving to live a more grounded life in an exclusive interview with K Fuse. -- As the evening approached, anticipation grew for the main event, and the headlining concert did not disappoint. Performers Lu-Cid, Alan Z, and Ted Park each brought their unique flavor to the stage, lighting up the room with unforgettable performances. Photo Credit: Lorenzo Lu-Cid opened the show with raw charisma and boundless energy. Despite wearing a medical boot, he leapt into the crowd, created an impromptu dance circle, and set the tone for the rest of the night. His eccentric choreography and fearless stage presence immediately drew the audience in. Alan Z followed with a versatile set that showcased his vocal range and lyrical depth. From smooth pop ballads to boom-bap rap flows, his performance offered something for everyone, and his comfort on stage made for an engaging experience. Ted Park closed the show with unmatched energy and charisma. His playful attitude and constant crowd engagement elevated the experience from performance to party. A standout moment was his rendition of “Slide,”  during which the entire crowd shouted the lyrics in unison, creating a euphoric, communal moment that captured the spirit of the entire event. Adding to the surprise and delight, the audience was treated to unannounced performances from @whoisastn and KXTANA, with the latter debuting a high-octane unreleased single exclusively for those in attendance. Photo Credit: Lorenzo As the night wound down and fans snapped final selfies with the artists, one thing was clear: Euphoria  was a success. Despite its modest size, the event packed a major punch, bringing together performers, passionate fans, and a sense of belonging that made the entire experience wonderful. For the K-pop community in Corpus Christi, Euphoria  wasn’t just a fun day—it was a milestone. It reflected the passion of local fans, the dedication of cultural organizers, and the rising momentum of Asian representation in South Texas.
