  • Park Continues His Successful Run as an Independent Artist with High-Energy and Collaborative Show

Photo Cred: D. Bush "You never know what you're going to get with hip hop shows. Usually it's the finger in their air and the hyped vibes, but Ted Park wasn't like that." -Anonymous Saturday, May 13, 2023 was another memorable night for fans of Ted Park as he returned to perform again in his hometown as a headliner, following his first time doing so in December 2022. On this night at Aisle 5 in Atlanta, Park was joined by openers DJ Jay Envy!, OOWOAH, Lewie, and collaborator and friend, Parlay Pass.  Before the show, fans were lined up outside, excited to see Park perform live again. Some were newer fans (having discovered Park when he opened for PH1 on his recent tour) while others had been following him for years. Some were residents of Atlanta as well, but others had traveled long distances (up to 7 hours!) to see him perform.  Ever the gracious host, Park stopped by to greet and visit with the fans lined up outside. As fans entered the 625- capacity venue, they were greeted by the sound of DJ Jay Envy! With a mix of genres ranging from R&B Ballads to Hip Hop basslines, this DJ knew how to make sure the crowd’s energy was set for what was coming next. Photo Cred: D. Bush The first artist to take the stage was OOWOAH , a 19-year-old Atlanta native whose live performance career began that night. With any first-time performing artist, attendees perhaps take a few bars to warm up to the artist’s sound – but this crowd was captivated and cheered along to his raps and sang along as they learned the lyrics. At the end of his performance, OOWOAH said “this may have been my first time performing live, but it won’t be my last!!!” Photo Cred: D. Bush The next opener is a Washington native who defines our idea of a #Soundlover. Lewie ’s reason to pursue music was simply because he “just loved the sound” then “fell in love with the influence and the art process.” Lewie’s latest single came just in time for this tour stop. His collaboration with Ted Park,  Down 4 You , was released on May 5, 2023, and later rejoined Park on stage to perform the track together. He expressed his affection for both Park (and his “dope personality and songs” as well as his “lit fans.” Photo Cred: D. Bush The next artist to take the stage was no stranger for anyone who has ever attended any of Park's events. Long-time collaborator and friend, Parlay Pass , delivered an effortless style of trap that got the crowd jumping. As he continued to interact with collaborators, media and fans alike - - he did something a little different your typical indie artists. Parlay took the time to teach and explain the words noona and dongsaeng; As well as how they related to his lyrics. He also took time to teach the crowd to count for " Hana, Dool, Set " Photo Cred: D. Bush Park ’s fans eagerly anticipated his arrival on stage and launched into screams when the opening bars of his hype song Friend of Mine began to play. As he launched through the doorway on stage, he and the fans were energetically jumping and throwing their arms in the air. He also mixed in Jjajang Mami, Coca Cola (an homage to curvy girls) and kept the hype going with Slip n Slide which also had an insane level of crowd participation and energy.  Park performed a number of other fan favorite songs that the crowd eagerly sang along with, including Adore You, Dior You, Kakao, Dance Like Jay Park, Freezer, and Drippin. Parlay Pass also returned to the stage to perform tracks from their recently-released album, The Pain, such as 4 AM, Over & Over, and Monday to Sunday . Park also performed several as-yet-unreleased songs, such as Adderall, and Weekend. The fan response to these tracks was immediate and positive, heightened by Park’s energy and enthusiasm for showing his newest work to his fans. He shared that he still has hundreds of tracks that he has held back on releasing out of concern that they might not be good enough, but he said “no more!” He related that he loves hearing new work by his peers and wants to continue to trust that his fans will also be excited to hear his new music in the future, too.  Park recounted how naysayers told him he wasn’t ready to tour on his own but he launched out on a solo tour successfully in 2022 and again this year, bringing a crowd to shows organically and independently, without having to rely on heavy marketing and promotions.  Photo Cred: D. Bush One thing is clear is that Park’s fans are loyal – if Park decides to have a show in Atlanta, they WILL show up and show out: “A-T-L-HO!”. Their affection for him is genuine and among the many reasons given, a big factor that can’t be discounted is his own genuine-ness and caring for not just his fans but everyone he encounters.  Park’s impact on everyone that he comes into contact with is unforgettable. Fans praised both his talent and his ability to be genuine and remain down-to-earth and wholeheartedly REAL in his music. Those who have worked with him on collaborations or on stage know how much he values and encourages them and their work. But even venue staff recognized how Park is different: “You never know what you are going to get when dealing with hip hop artists. Typically it’s the ‘F you’ finger in the air sort of vibe, but Ted Park wasn’t like that.” Multiple staff said that his actions spoke volumes about his level of respect and consideration for others, without taking away from his ability to entertain the crowd and bring a high-energy show that thrilled fans and kept everyone hyped throughout the night. ——— Immediately after the show, Park kept his promise to have a meet & greet with his fans. Park truly took his time with each of them (vs rushed assembly-line-style fan events that are common for other artists in certain K-music genres). He also extended an invitation to fans (of legal drinking age) to the after-party.  You can find our full photo gallery from the Atlanta stop here .

  • [CONCERT REVIEW] 2022 WEi World Tour [First Love] in Atlanta

[#WEi Review for Blender Book Magazine] NOVEMBER 5, 2022 REVIEW CONCERT: WEi CHARM ATLANTA UNTIL THE END OF THE NIGHT Shortly before the summer, the band announced their First Love tour, first for the United States, before taking over Latin America. On September 23, the group finally set foot in Atlanta, to meet the RUIs who were waiting for them, inhabited by an ostensibly palpable energy. Blue and red strobes to welcome them flood the room as soon as the artists arrive at the Loft. And the BLENDER MAGAZINE team was there. The band debuted with the song Twilight , one of the tracks that propelled them to prominence. In the eyes of many people, WEi could only succeed. In addition to the versatility of their songs, all the members had already been part of a collective before integrating this new composition. There are thus these old groups: JBJ, 1The9, Rainz or even X1. It is however neither the first nor the last group to be formed on the contribution of members of former groups having more or less known success. WEi is thus, from the beginning, expected to have a bright future and has little room for error. The challenge is great for the children of OUI Entertainment as the expectations are considerable. The group quickly decided to rely on Pentagon's Hui for the production of the song Twilight. Hui is mainly known, in addition to his constant involvement in the musical projects of his own group, for having participated in the conception of Shine , Sha La La or Energetic by Wanna One. But suffering from a backlog of work in both Korea and Japan, the Pentagon member was more discreet as a producer for a while. At The Loft, WEi introduces themselves to the crowd right after the first song. Visitors are welcomed by Korean aficionados as well as other minorities. The group seems to be able to unite absolutely all of America. The ultimate mark of their impact on a global level. Follows the piece Timeless which occurs on a background of green light. The group takes a break from their choreographies in order to take the time to come together for an intimate moment with their audience. The room fills with generic hearts. The hands make the “ola”. Everyone was waiting for him. All or Nothing , probably one of the best songs of the group, imposes its frenetic rhythm. The Loft is invaded by its synth texture and its oriental inspirations nourished by powerful transitions. Ironically, it's also one of the songs with the most mixed reception when it was released. Produced by Jang Dae Hyeon, the group's rapper, it is often said not to have what it takes for the grandiloquent impact that one might have expected. Considering the hundreds of jingles that can be heard across the music industry, this is an interesting, but highly questionable point of view. After Super Bumpy , the group pauses again to interact with the crowd. Junseo speaks, evoking the birthday of Yo han who blew out his candles a few days before the concert. A birthday is necessarily celebrated in full tour. “It was in Houston. We thought there was a problem with the soundtrack playing. Then, everyone started to sing, and we finally understood what was happening. I found that so cool!" recalls Yo Han, himself. If touring plays a major role in an artist's life, Dae Hyeon and Junseo agree that this tour comes at just the right time. Shortly after the epitome of the health crisis which forced, for many months, artists to express their art digitally only, the First Love tour is like a second wind for the band as well as for their supporters. “When do you feel best?" Unsurprisingly, the audience rises in unison to respond "Right now!" to Dae Hyeon's question. "Us too, when we play in front of you guys," added Junseo. The members then continue with a cover of Love Killa by Monsta X. The lights are flickering, the atmosphere is about to change completely. White halos take over the room to welcome Blossom , then Bad Night . The world becomes even more intimate and delicate. The RUIs raise their lightsticks one after the other, which also change color on the performance, this time of White Light . White Light marks the balance point of the concert, perfumed with a vocal-melodic ratio neither too tearful nor too immoderate for a title of this tenor. The band, however, were not going to leave Atlanta without delivering their catchy Too Bad , as well as Bye Bye Bye . The concert ends on a superb encore with ABCDEF and RUi . They will have clearly made the Loft vibrate until the end of the night. Special thanks to Max Experience, OUi Entertainment and WEi for the promotional collaboration Photo & Video Credit: K Fuse Team ORIGINAL WRITTEN BY: Demona Lauren Freelance Writer for Blender Magazine

Their fans, affectionately referred to by the group as ‘True’, showed their support by yelling the groups’ slogan ‘ TRI.BE Vi Da Loca’ during each of their songs. TRI.BE ’s passion for their fans translates throughout the whole show, starting with the group performing an English version of their song ‘Wonderland’ . The members shared they performed this version specifically as a gift for American True’s to celebrate their first US Tour.  The group took turns showing off their vocal skills, by singing their favorite parts of the upcoming songs, acapella, as teasers to hype up the crowd. ‘ Got Your Back ’ was a unit stage that included members Songsun, Kelly, and Jia. It featured a fun call and response with the audience and was produced by Songsun. ‘ -18 ’ showcased the performance abilities of members Hyunbin, Soeun, and Mire. They ended this set of the concert with the whole group back together as they performed a dance cover medley of a few other high profile kpop groups such as Ateez , Seventeen , and Enhypen .  The show featured a fun segment called ‘Ask TRI.BE ’ where the fans submitted questions prior to the concertand the members would take turns picking which ones to answer. This portion of the show really showed how much the group enjoys interacting with their fans. They listened to requests shouted out from the audience on which specific questions to answer and even prepared special, spontaneous performances of songs not on their setlist in response to fan’s questions. Hilarity ensued as a bug flew around the stage causing commotion amongst the girls, while ultimately creating the perfect segway into their next songs. Soeun was hit by the bug on her cheek and exclaimed “Oh! It kissed me!” which resulted in the other members' laughter, as their next set consisted of songs ‘In The Air’  and ‘ Kiss ’.  The girls shared again just how thankful and happy they were to be on their first US Tour. They announced their love for ‘True’ and hoped all their fans would remember today as a special day, just like they would. They finished with the song ‘ We Are Young ’, dedicated to all their fans, before exiting the stage. Not long after, member’s voices could be heard over the loudspeakers, asking all fans to remain seated for safety purposes as they were going to come out into the crowd for their last number ‘ Stay Together ’. The girls took their time throughout the song, going up to every fan to wave, take photos and even sit down next to them. They finished the .concert with a plethora of group photos with the audience. Together, these tracks vividly portray HITGS’s artistry: fresh, fearless, and unmistakably unique. At the heart of HITGS’s concept is a simple yet profound message: to celebrate all things we love, whether grand and extraordinary or small and seemingly insignificant. “We want to keep talking about all those big and small things that make every day special,” the members shared. “We hope that everyone, including us, will talk more often about the little things we love—the things that sparkle in our lives. And someday, if HITGS becomes one of those small things you love, that would mean the world to us.” Even before their official debut, HITGS garnered industry attention, securing significant partnerships and investments. • Spotlight on Joh!: The Emerging Artist Behind "Cupid" and "Discord Kid"

Welcome back #SoundLovers! We are excited to shine the spotlight on this next artist! Joh! , a music enthusiast and independent artist who recently released the single “ cupid ” and is set to drop an album called Discord Kid . K Fuse had the opportunity to speak with Joh! about some o his biggest influences, dream collaboration, and his creative process. Learn more about this emotionally honest and curious artist below! Hello Joh, Thank you for taking the time to speak with us at K Fuse. Before we begin, could you please introduce yourself to our readers? A: Hey, I’m Joh, and I make music! Well, more than a musician, I’d say I’m just someone who loves  music. I’m going to keep doing what I love, and there’s a lot of fun stuff coming soon. I recently released my single “cupid,” and soon, I’ll be dropping an album called Discord Kid . I’m really excited about it. Hope you guys are looking forward to it too! Thank you. Before we discuss music, I would like our readers to become acquainted with you. Let's start with some basic questions. If you had to describe yourself in three words, which words would you choose and why? A: Honest, emotional, curious. I try to stay true to what I’m feeling, even if it’s messy or uncomfortable. I’m always searching for new sounds, new stories, and new ways to express myself. Who have been some of your most significant musical influences? A: Artists like Keshi, Justin Bieber, and Karri have really influenced my approach to melody and vulnerability. Their music feels honest and intentional, which is something I always strive for in my own work. Could you share how you began your career in the entertainment industry? A: I started out as a rapper. Over time, I wanted to explore different forms of music, which naturally led me to singing. That opened up various opportunities, and now I’m here, both as a songwriter and an artist. How would you characterize your sound to new listeners? A: I’d say it’s emotional pop with R&B roots and a splash of hyperpop chaos. It’s melodic, honest, and sometimes a little messy, like real feelings are. Are there any genres you are currently exploring or would like to explore? A: I’m really interested in R&B and glitchy electronic sounds right now. I love mixing textures and genres that normally don’t go together. How are you promoting your music at the moment? A: Mostly through social media and collaborations with other creatives. I think it’s important to keep things organic and community-driven. How do you balance your passion for music with other aspects of your life? A: Honestly, I’m still figuring that out. Music tends to take over, but I try to stay grounded by spending time alone, disconnecting when I need to reset. You recently released your latest single, " cupid ," which takes listeners on a journey through a story of longing to return to a time of innocent love. What inspired this song? A: “cupid”    was written during a time when I felt emotionally lost. It’s about craving something pure again, even though you know you’ve already been changed by love and pain. This song definitely has hyperpop characteristics with a slight rock feel that keeps listeners on their toes.  Can you walk us through your creative process for this song? A: It started from a demo that Jun, a manager at my label NAISU agency, played for me. The demo was made by Asian producers, which already had that R&B-meets-hyperpop energy. I rewrote the topline, added some glitchy vocal textures, and built the structure around emotional highs and lows to reflect the instability of the story. Have you ever experienced writer's block? How did you overcome it? A: Definitely. When that happens, I stop forcing it and just live a little. Sometimes the best way to write again is to step away and come back with something real to say. Are there any artists with whom you would like to collaborate with? A: Justin Bieber. He’s my idol and the biggest inspiration behind the music I’m making now. I really want to work with him at least once before I die. What can fans expect from you as we progress through 2025? A: I’ll be releasing more songs even after the album. I’m chasing newer, more playful ideas, and there might be some unexpected collaborations too. Nothing’s confirmed yet, but I’m excited to keep evolving. Before we wrap up, Is there a message you would like to share with your fans and our readers? A: Thank you for listening and making space for my music! I’m still learning and growing, but I hope my songs can give you some comfort, even if just for a moment.

  • CNBLUE Returns to New York After 11 Years with a Night to Remember

After more than a decade away, CNBLUE made their long-awaited return to New York on April 18th, taking over the Knockdown Center in Queens for their first show in the city in 11 years. It wasn’t just a concert — it felt like a reunion, a celebration. The night kicked off with a bang as CNBLUE opened with " In My Head ," firing up the crowd from the very first note. The energy was wild — hands up, voices screaming, people jumping. The band didn’t waste a second showing New York that they were back and honestly, sounding better than ever. After the first segment, frontman Yonghwa grabbed the mic and chatted with the crowd, sharing that New York had officially turned him into a foodie — proudly confessing his love for tacos (shoutout to Los Tacos). Everyone cracked up, and it felt like one of those moments where the artist just gets the city they’re in. The three-piece band brought the nostalgia force with their debut song " Loner ," the kind of track that just hits different live, especially for longtime fans. And then came “ Wake Up ,” one of the night’s most hyped-up moments. In the middle of the song, they paid tribute to Queen, breaking into " We Will Rock You ." Minhyuk got the whole crowd stomping and clapping along — it seriously felt like a stadium. Things slowed down in the best way when Yonghwa sat at the piano to perform " To. My Love. " The whole venue went still, just soaking in the softness of the song. It was one of those rare, quiet concert moments where everything just… stops. During a mid-show break, Yonghwa talked about seeing their faces on the big screens in Times Square and suddenly burst into Alicia Keys " New York " which obviously had the crowd losing it. Then he greeted fans in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish — and the crowd totally paid him back with the loudest cheers But this wasn’t just a night of deep feelings, the band made sure we had fun too. The energy jumped again during " Cinderella " with everyone back on their feet, dancing and singing like no time had passed at all. Encore, Yonghwa returned to the stage with " Can’t Stop " with a special shoutout to New York. The crowd sang every word. Afterwards, he turned to us with a grin and asked for help filming a little video, leading us in a playful "YES!" chant that filled the room. And in a super sweet moment, he even sang " Happy Birthday " to a fan who called out during the break definitely a memory that person won’t forget. To end the show, CNBLUE performed " Love Light " casting a soft glow over the venue then he transitions to Young Forever. As the chorus played, silver confetti started falling from above, catching the light. the moment just hung in the air, quiet and dreamy — a slow fade rather than a big finale.
