  • 82MAJOR ‘TAKEOVER’ NYC On Their Debut Tour

82MAJOR, the 6-member K-pop group, have kicked off their debut tour with a couple dozen stops in North America. A crowd of several hundred fans were on their feet early, at the historic Queens Theatre to mark the 6th stop of SEONG IL, YE CHAN, SEONG MO, SEONG BIN, SEOK JOON, and DO GYUN’s ‘<82 SYNDROME>’ tour. Photo by Nikki C. Their fans, called 82DE (a combination of 82 and attitude), were at the venue early to take part in all of the pre-show benefits with the members. A soundcheck party, solo member selfies, and hi-touch are just a few of the events that can get fans up close to their favorite idols. With temperatures into the upper 80’s in NYC that day, early birds were surprised with an additional fan service, ‘Hydration King’ YE CHAN handed out water to the waiting fans to make sure everyone was taken care of in the elevated temps. Promptly at 7:00pm, 82MAJOR took to the stage and kicked off their set with their most recent single ‘TAKEOVER’ followed by ‘Stuck’ before taking a break to greet the crowd with their first ment of the night. They kept the energy up with ‘Heroes’ and ‘Gossip’. Having started the show in a vintage denim look, it didn’t take long before the members shed their jackets and continued performing in their black rocker looks previously concealed under the denim. A few songs later the members took a break to talk to the crowd about how special this first tour was for them. The members spoke about how they wanted to do something special for the 82DE that have supported them since their debut in October 2023. They created two songs ‘Say More’ and ‘Suspicious’, released them on SoundCloud, and added them as special stages for this tour. Continuing on with crowd favorites, ‘Illegal’ and ‘Choke’ had the members sweating through their shirts, with YE CHAN commenting ‘my shirt is two different colors!’ The 90-minute performance had very little downtime. It was packed with intense choreo, steady vocals and precise rapping. With only one off-stage break, the members took a quick moment to switch into their merch shirt before coming out to end the show with ‘Promise You’, a song specifically written for 82DE. The crowd interactions during the ments were some of the highlights of the night, with the member’s individual personalities spotlighted. They talked about how it was the first time in NYC for several of the members and they were looking forward to checking out the Empire State Building, Times Square and shopping - ‘spending money they don’t have’ YE CHAN hilariously added. SEOK JOON, a self-proclaimed Marvel fan, was in awe of the city that served as the backdrop of the Spiderman franchise. 82MAJOR’s <82 SYNDROME> North American tour was an impressive display of stamina and musicality. They matched the energy of the crowd all night and have paved their own musical path. They cite influences such as Big Bang and EXO’s Baekhyun, that inspired them to want to become idols, but want to create a style that is all their own and not just follow the trends. With their impressive dancing, unique tone and songwriting skills, they are poised to take the next MAJOR (pun intended) step into mainstream K-Pop. Looking forward to seeing more marketing and promo from the members to achieve the notoriety to match their talent. You can check out 82MAJOR at any of the 17 remaining dates of their <82 SYNDROME> North American tour.

  • It’s A “Sure Thing”: Rising Rookies, 82MAJOR, Are Taking The U.S. By Storm!

There’s a new syndrome sweeping the U.S. – an electrifying, uncontrollable burst of rhythm and charisma.  Symptoms include heart-racing excitement, spontaneous dancing, and nonstop chanting.  The cause?  One name:  82MAJOR! Formed under Great M Entertainment, 82MAJOR is a rising 6-member boy group that’s redefining the rookie standard.  The name “82MAJOR” itself is a nod at South Korea’s country code (+82) and their desire to establish themselves as a “major presence globally”.  After intense trainee years, they officially made their debut on October 11, 2023 with the bold and confident single, “ First Class .”  In a 2023 round table interview  with K Fuse sat down with group members SEONG IL, SEOK JOON, SEONG BIN, YE CHAN, DO GYUN, and SEONG MOto discuss how they would define being a “major presence”.  SEONG IL defined it as “worldwide recognition, where anyone on the streets knows who we are,” while DO GYUN and SEONG MO spoke about being a comforting and positive presence for people around the world.  YE CHAN summed it up with a bold vision:  “ Sold-out tours – everywhere! ”  Fast forward to now, and that dream is in motion as the members officially set out on their first North American Tour, <82 SYNDROME>. Outside the Nashville venue, 82DE showed up early, braving the heat in creative outfits and with handmade signs. DO GYUN, living up to his “hydration king” title, stepped out to hand out water and thank fans personally. Inside, the excitement was already building—fans danced, sang along, and bonded over their love for 82MAJOR. Then—it happened. Once the lights dimmed and the opening notes of “TAKEOVER” rang through the venue, all bets were off. YE CHAN’s whisper — “Worldwide always greater, open up the third eye” — sent chills through the room.. The moment the beat dropped and the full-group took the stage, the atmosphere shifted. Sharp, synchronized choreography lit up the stage as the group exploded into their opening performance, setting the tone for what would be a night to remember. The seamless mix of controlled, powerful rap lines and smooth, soaring vocals traded between members had the crowd singing along and filling the two tiered venue with a thunderous roar of cheers from the first chorus. The synergy was undeniable—on stage and off—and the energy only climbed from there.  Keeping the momentum high, 82MAJOR immediately transitioned into “STUCK,”  delivering a raw, unexpected burst of intensity that went beyond the studio version. SEONG BIN and SEONG MO’s rap verses hit harder live—charged with a grit and urgency that pulsed through the speakers. Their delivery amplified by the crowd’s energy, the performance felt like a direct jolt to the heart, proving that 82MAJOR’s stage presence can’t be fully captured in a recording. Taking a moment to introduce themselves, 82MAJOR’s leader SEONG IL stepped forward and shouted, “HELLO NASHVILLE! WE ARE…” to which the rest of the group responded in perfect sync, “82MAJOR!” One by one, the members followed with individual introductions, each earning a wave of cheers from the crowd. YE CHAN then took the mic to officially welcome everyone to the 82 Syndrome North American Tour. Excited to be in Nashville for the first time, he didn’t hesitate to bring up a fact most Tennessee K-Pop fans know all too well: “ I actually heard that you guys don’t get a lot of K-Pop concerts here .” That line drew an instant response of agreement from the crowd. YE CHAN grinned, soaking it in before adding with a playful nod, “So... who was the first K-Pop artist to perform here?” A beat passed—and then his answer: “My brother.” When YE CHAN asked how the members were feeling, DO GYUN lit up: “I’m so happy to spend this special time with 82DE!” SEONG IL added, “When we found out we were going on tour, we couldn’t wait to meet all our North American 82DE,” and SEOK JOON followed with, “We worked really hard for this show—hope you enjoy it!” SEONG BIN jumped in with a pumped-up, “Are you guys ready?!”  Before the next song, YE CHAN explained the tour name: “82” from their group and country code, and “Syndrome” symbolizing their dream to become a wave spreading across North America. SEONG BIN quickly added with a grin, “But we’ve already met so many 82DE… I think the syndrome’s already started, no?” That line sent the crowd into a roar just as the opening beats of “Heroes” kicked in. The crowd erupted with roaring cheers as every move of the choreography landed with razor-sharp precision, the members moving as one flawless unit that electrified the entire room. Fans were jumping in sync and pumping their fists into the air, completely captivated by the group’s dynamic stage presence and feeding off every beat. Next up was the old-school vibe of “Gossip,” and as the familiar intro started, the crowd instantly joined in, singing along with eager enthusiasm. As the chorus hit, the entire venue shouted back with the group in perfect unison: “Talk about me, talk about me, 82 do it better, do it better, you know what I mean.” That shared moment of connection only fueled the excitement, and as the track kicked into full gear, another thunderous roar of cheers exploded throughout the venue, filling the space with pure electric energy. During the next talk segment, the members shared that they had prepared two new songs and worked hard on their English to better connect with 82DE. They said they brought their energy—but were getting even more back from the crowd. DO GYUN thanked fans for waiting in the heat, and when asked what he prepared, YE CHAN joked about his English skills before saying, more seriously, that he brought his whole heart to this tour. DO GYUN, ready to move to the next stage, called out to 82DE to make sure they were ready before the group launched into “Face Time.” Fans bounced up and down to the beat, singing along and cheering for each member as their individual parts began, keeping the energy alive throughout the performance. Without missing a beat, 82MAJOR smoothly transitioned into their next stage. As the beat for “Thorns” dropped, the crowd once again filled the venue with cheers. YE CHAN took a moment to tell about the two songs that they just performed, playfully struggling with his “practiced English skills,” which had the crowd laughing right along with him. He translated the song’s Korean title with a smile, saying, “A thorny path is also okay. This song means that no matter what path we take, even if it be a hard one… wow, English…” He paused, chuckling at himself before correcting, “Even if it is a hard one, it will be okay because we have you guys.” The genuine warmth in his words resonated deeply with the fans, who responded with cheers and applause, feeling the heartfelt message behind the song. Before moving on, the members shared their excitement about being in Nashville. DO GYUN said he’d looked up the city and wanted to explore and take photos, while SEONG MO was eager to check out the music scene on Broadway. DO GYUN praised the crowd’s energy, calling it fitting for the “City of Music.” SEOK JOON brought up Nashville’s hot chicken and asked for food recs—YE CHAN misheard a fan shout “Arby’s,” but the crowd quickly corrected him with chants for “Hattie B’s,” drawing big laughs. Getting ready to lift the energy again with a trifecta of fan-favorites, DO GYUN signaled the start of the next stage by softly singing, “Happy birthday to you.” The crowd erupted in cheers, waving lightsticks and singing along to the chorus with joy. As the song came to a close, the entire venue joined 82MAJOR in singing the heartfelt final lyrics in perfect harmony: “Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday my baby, Happy birthday to you.” Without missing a beat, the group transitioned into the bright and youthful vibes of “Sure Thing,” instantly lightening the atmosphere. The crowd swayed and bobbed side to side, completely caught up in the carefree energy that filled the venue. Not wanting to lose a single moment of momentum, 82MAJOR immediately jumped into their next track, “PASSPORT.” The energy in the room soared as fans jumped and sang along with the catchy chorus, their voices blending in perfect harmony. Each member’s distinct parts were met with enthusiastic cheers, but it was SEOK JOON’s smooth, lower-ranged entrance with the line “Can’t nobody” that brought the house down, triggering a deafening roar of excitement from the crowd. Next, it was time for 82DE to experience something extra special — the two songs that 82MAJOR created just for the tour. SEONG BIN took the lead, casually motioning for fans to simply vibe with them, even if they didn’t know the tracks yet. Then, with a knowing grin, he began humming the melody, teasing what was coming. The moment YE CHAN blended in with a playful “Oo-ee-oo-ah-ah,” the crowd caught on instantly, echoing the line back in unison — a moment that felt like an inside secret shared between artist and fan. With the crowd locked in, the group launched into the bright, easy-going rhythm of “Say More.” The stage lit up with color and warmth as fans danced, swayed, or simply smiled along, soaking in every beat. The mood quickly shifted, though, as 82MAJOR transitioned seamlessly into the moody, bass-driven “Suspicious.” The performance carried a darker, more mysterious energy — full of slick choreography, piercing gazes, and a magnetic stage presence that showed yet another side of the group’s versatility.  YE CHAN later explained the song “Say More” as a romantic song written by himself and SEONG MO, and SEONG BIN saying “the next stage, Suspicious, felt so different performing here in Nashville.” Showing their playful side, the members turned the next talk segment into a comedy moment. DO GYUN signaled the next stage, but YE CHAN, mid-sip, joked, “I’m trying to drink water. Wait a minute.” The crowd cheered, and DO GYUN fired back, “But you always say you’re born ready.” YE CHAN replied, “Being born ready doesn’t mean you don’t need rest,” sparking more cheers. SEONG BIN then joked he was sad the crowd wasn’t screaming—prompting an immediate roar of energy. With the vibe fully recharged, it was time for the trifecta of 82MAJOR’s signature high-energy tracks. First up was their pre-debut track “Illegal.” While longtime fans had been with the song since its original release, many were introduced to it through the group’s second mini album ‘X-82.’ Regardless of when they joined the fandom, everyone in the room knew the chorus by heart — screaming the lyrics with passion and power that echoed off the venue walls. Next, the group jumped straight into formation for “Choke,” and the energy hit a whole new level. 82DE danced and shouted along with every drop, fully synced with the group’s electrifying stage presence. And just when it felt like the night couldn’t go any harder, a seamless transition launched the crowd into “82.” The cheers were deafening as fans jumped in unison with the group, fists in the air, yelling “EIGHTY-TWO!!” at full volume. The entire room felt like one massive party — artist and fan moving as one. Before the final stretch, 82MAJOR took a moment to reflect on their high-energy songs that hold special meaning for the group. YE CHAN shared why “82” is more than just a song title—it’s a symbol of their identity, saying confidently, “82 is who we are.” He then talked about “Illegal,” explaining that it was originally a five-member release before he joined. But he made sure to add his own impact, saying, “My verse, my intro, my bridge, and my choreo go hard. I did what I had to do. I showed up. I represent.” The crowd erupted in cheers as he capped it off with a playful Gen Alpha phrase: “I ate up and I ate down.” DO GYUN then checked in with the fans, asking if they were having fun, to which the crowd shouted back enthusiastically. The mood shifted when SEONG BIN announced sadly, “It’s so sad that I have to do this line every time, but unfortunately, this is going to be the song,” sparking a chorus of passionate “NOOO!”s from the crowd who clearly didn’t want the night to end. As the show neared its end, the members of 82MAJOR took a few heartfelt moments to reflect on their time in Nashville. One by one, they shared their thoughts, the emotion in their voices matching the warmth radiating from the crowd. SEONG IL opened the segment with gratitude, thanking everyone in attendance for bringing such incredible energy to the night. His words were calm but full of appreciation — a true leader’s way of acknowledging the fans who made it all possible. SEONG BIN followed with a wide smile, explaining how much he enjoyed performing with such a fired-up audience. The genuine excitement from 82DE had clearly made an impact on him, and he didn’t hide it. SEOK JOON, full of quiet fire, added that he’s already looking forward to sharing even more passionate and powerful stages with 82DE in the future. Meanwhile, SEONG MO wore his heart on his sleeve, expressing his love for the fandom and how much pure fun he had on stage. “I want to come back and have even more fun,” he said, his joy impossible to miss. DO GYUN’s tone turned thoughtful as he looked ahead with hope, saying he’s excited to keep making great memories with 82DE. It wasn’t just about tonight — it was about everything that could come next. And finally, YE CHAN stepped forward to close out the reflections, his voice full of emotion. He shared that performing in Nashville had always been a dream of his — something he’d imagined for years — and now that it had come true, it felt like a blessing to do it in front of 82DE. “I really hope we can come back,” he said, before complimenting the crowd’s electric energy one last time. It was a heartfelt pause before the final stretch. SEONG IL stepped forward with a grin, rallying the crowd: “When I say jump, I want to see you jump!” The room exploded in cheers. Spotting a toddler, the members joked, “That includes you, baby. A baby jump!” — drawing laughs and awws. Ever thoughtful, they added, “But please be safe. If you can’t jump, just scream!” With that, the opening beat of their debut track “FIRST CLASS” dropped — and the venue lit up with an energy that somehow topped everything before it. Fans jumped to their feet, shouting the lyrics at full volume, waving their arms, and matching the group’s every move with pure adrenaline. Then came the moment: “JUUUUMP!” SEONG IL roared into the mic. Each time he shouted the cue, the entire venue moved like a wave — rows of 82DE leaping into the air, fists pumping to the beat, chanting back, “JUMP! JUMP! JUMP ON ANOTHER CLASS!” It was a finale powered by joy, adrenaline, and connection, with every fan holding nothing back. As the final chorus echoed into the night and the stage lights dimmed, 82MAJOR took their leave, exchanging hearts and waves with the crowd as they disappeared backstage. But Nashville wasn’t ready to say goodbye just yet. A chant started to rise. “ENCORE! ENCORE!” quickly transformed into something even louder — “82! 82! 82!”  The venue shook once again as 82MAJOR returned to the stage and flipped the atmosphere once more — this time trading high-energy hype for something softer, more sentimental. As the opening chords of “Promise” began to play, the crowd immediately caught the shift. Lightsticks swayed gently from left to right, casting a sea of color across the venue. It was a calm, glowing moment — but one still brimming with emotion. Onstage, the members made the most of every second. SEONG BIN and YE CHAN took the lead, playfully directing the waves from the stage with childlike energy that had the crowd laughing and following along. Just as the vibe settled into something sweet, SEOK JOON’s rap verse lit another spark — fans pumping their arms in rhythm to chants of “Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!” It was a perfect balance of joy and tenderness, a finale that felt more like a celebration between friends than the end of a concert. Before stepping off stage for good, the members paused one more time to thank Nashville for such an unforgettable night. But the energy still didn’t let up — so much so, they couldn’t help but sneak in a little reprise of “Sure Thing,” sending the crowd into one last round of cheerful movement. With waves, hearts, and lingering smiles, 82MAJOR finally leaving the stage — but not the hearts of 82DE. From start to finish, 82MAJOR’s Nashville stop on their <82 SYNDROME> tour was more than just a concert — it was an experience. Full of laughter, unforgettable fan moments, electrifying performances, and emotional sincerity, the night proved one thing for sure: 82MAJOR isn’t just chasing their dream — they’re living it. And judging by the roar of the crowd, they’re taking 82DE right along with them every step of the way.

  • Something “Suspicious” Sweeps Louisville: An 82MAJOR Takeover!

Something “Suspicious” is Taking Over the U.S., and it’s Called 82MAJOR .  The Louisville stop of their <82 SYNDROME> tour wasn’t just a concert — it was an all-out, non-stop party explosion! The energy was off the charts, the passion contagious, and the crowd? Absolutely unstoppable, dancing and singing their hearts out from the first track to the last encore. This was pure fire from start to finish! 82MAJOR's SEOK JOON, SEONG BIN, DO GYUN, SEONG IL, YE CHAN, and SEONG MO 82MAJOR , the six-member group under Great M Entertainment, is making waves for all the right reasons. With their name inspired by South Korea’s country code (+82), their sights are clearly set on global domination. Since dropping their debut single "FIRST CLASS" back in October 2023, they’ve been turning heads and stealing hearts around the world. Outside the Louisville show at the Louisville Portal, a vibrant sea of 82DE – the group’s devoted fandom – lined the outside of the building hours before showtime.  Dressed to the nines in both custom-made and handcrafted fits, each repped their favorite member, proudly showcasing banners, lightsticks, and even homemade accessories.  The weather threw everything it had – from blistering sunshine to a sudden torrential downpour – but nothing could shake the fans’ spirits.  They were here for 82MAJOR , rain or shine.   And the group made sure to show up for them, too.  Living up to their desires to set themselves apart from others in the industry as well as their fan-given nickname during the tour “hydration kings,” at each stop one member would step outside to personally hand out bottles of water to fans waiting in the heat.  Their small, but meaningful gesture – thanking fans directly and reminding them to stay safe – showed a level o humility and care that left a lasting impression Louisville Portal Those lucky enough to secure fan engagement benefits were then treated toa fan sign and group photo session before the main event.  Smiles, laughter, nervousness, and excitement filled the room and fans met the members up close, many for the first time.  The opportunity to take a group photo with 82MAJOR gave fans a treasured keepsake – one they’ll be holding onto long after the tour ends.  The group’s warmth and sincerity turned every moment into a memory.  Then came the soundcheck, and the bar was set high .  Even, before the show officially began’ the members delivered crisp vocals, smooth harmonies, and infectious energy – teasing just how explosive the night would become.  As general admission doors opened, fans poured into the venue, greeted by a glowing stage bathed in a multitude of colors and a backdrop that proudly displayed “82MAJOR <82 SYNDROME> North American Tour.” YE CHAN’s signature whisper — “ TAKEOVER ” — kicked off the night, and chaos (the good kind) ensued. The beat dropped, and 82MAJOR hit the stage with tight choreography, powerful raps, and smooth vocals that had the whole place singing along. Then came “ STUCK ,” and if you’ve only heard the studio version, you haven’t felt the full force of SEONG BIN and SEONG MO’s live rap energy. They absolutely snapped. After catching their breath, the group officially introduced themselves. SEONG IL began “Hi, We are..” “82MAJOR!” they declared in unison, greeted by a thunderous response from the crowd. Then came the individual intros, kicked off by YE CHAN, who grinned and launched into a playful, “Hi, my name is, Hi, my name is—”  The crowd didn’t miss a beat, shouting back, “Hi, my name is YE CHAN!” Each member followed with their introductions, with SEONG IL proudly noting his role as leader and DO GYUN immediately firing up the energy again with a bold, “Make some noise!”  The cheers answered back louder each time. Then came a brief, lighthearted moment as YE CHAN made his first attempt at pronouncing Louisville —earning laughter from both the crowd and the members as fans lovingly shouted the correct pronunciation back at him. SEONG IL took the spotlight once again to praise the crowd’s energy, while the rest of the members reacted to the growing waves of cheers shouted in support of their names. Not wanting to lose the momentum, the group jumped right into “Heroes” —a track that immediately sent the venue into another frenzy. Every step of the choreography landed with precision. The softer, more melodic sections offered a stunning contrast to the punchy chorus, and during those moments, DO GYUN and SEONG IL’s vocals soared—eliciting some of the night’s loudest screams so far.  Next up was “Gossip,”  a clear fan favorite. As the beat dropped, the tone shifted—the crowd's cheers momentarily softened, replaced by a powerful unison of voices shouting alongside the members:  “TALK ABOUT ME! TALK ABOUT ME! 82 DO IT BETTER, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!” The synchronized energy between stage and audience hit a peak, and when the song reached its infamous abrupt ending, a wave of renewed cheers erupted through the venue. The group took the next moment to catch their breath and speak to the fans again—this time with a touch of personal reflection. Several members shared what they had prepared for the tour, with many mentioning how they had studied English to better communicate with fans. SEONG MO offered a lighthearted TMI,  recounting dinner with staff where someone complimented his comprehension skills. “They said I understand English well,”  he said with a smile before adding humbly, “but I cannot speak it well.”  Without missing a beat, YE CHAN chimed in with supportive sincerity: “He’s working really hard.” Before continuing, SEONG IL took the mic to, once again, acknowledge the crowd, his words heartfelt and appreciative:  “We wanted to come here and give you guys a lot of energy... but instead, we are receiving even more energy from you.” The crowd roared back in response—fully locked into the connection the group had created from the very first beat. With the crowd still buzzing, the group dove straight into “Face Time,”  a track that turned up the charm and lit up the venue with playful energy. Before the performance, YE CHAN cheekily introduced it with a grin: “It’s about just being on Face Time!” —a simple explanation that made fans laugh before the beat even dropped. 82MAJOR brought the flirty, upbeat track to life with smooth, bouncy choreography and engaging facial expressions that had fans screaming with every wink, smirk, and finger heart. The crowd matched their energy bar for bar, dancing and singing along.  No time was wasted before they shifted gears again, launching into another fan-favorite “ Thorns .” The mood intensified instantly. As the choreography turned sharp and deliberate, each move hitting with impact. The duality between this and the previous song showcased the group’s range—sultry and powerful, yet polished and controlled. Vocals soared and rap lines hit with grit, drawing some of the loudest cheers of the night as fans responded to the emotion and intensity pouring from the stage. Taking another moment to catch their breath and connect with the crowd, YE CHAN turned the spotlight back to the fans—this time with gratitude. He brought up the unpredictable weather earlier in the day, noting the intense heat and smoothly adding with a laugh, “I also heard it rained.” SEONG IL followed with heartfelt concern, recalling the heat from when he stepped outside to hand out water. “I was only out there for a moment,”  he said, “but many of you were waiting for a long time. I was worried you were suffering.” That’s when DO GYUN gently chimed in, his tone soft but sincere: “Thank you so much for waiting.”  The moment drew cheers and emotional sighs from the crowd, once again highlighting the bond between 82MAJOR and their ever-loyal 82DE. Then, the group shifted the tone—ready to celebrate every fan marking a special occasion. Slowing things down just a touch, they launched into “Birthday” —a song that felt like a personal party anthem for everyone in the room. The crowd cheered as the members delivered the track with bright vocals and joy-filled energy. The celebration didn’t stop there. Without missing a beat, the group transitioned into the light-hearted and youthful vibes of “ Sure Thing .”  With beaming smiles and a more playful aura about them, 82MAJOR lit up the stage.  Ready to bring the energy back up, the group launched into a trifecta of high-powered anthems that ignited the crowd all over again. Deafening cheers filled the venue as 82MAJOR raised the roof with a fiery performance of “ Illegal ,”  their pre-debut track originally performed by five members during their time as Rarehouse. For longtime fans, this track marked an earlier chapter—one that didn’t feature YE CHAN on its original release. However, he showed up and showed out. YE CHAN personally contributed to the rewritten version that fans now know and love, giving “Illegal”  a powerful new life and transforming it into a true six-member anthem. Without letting the momentum drop, they dove into “ Choke ,”  showcasing sharp, aggressive choreography and a commanding stage presence that sent the energy into overdrive. Capping off the trio of explosive stages was the carefree and infectious track “82.”  The entire venue lit up with movement as fans jumped along during the chorus, hands in the air and voices unified as they shouted, “82!!”  in perfect sync with the group. Sadly, it was time for SEONG BIN to deliver the heartbreaking news that the next performance would be their last stage of the night. Groans of disappointment echoed from the crowd, but the group wasn’t ready to leave without making their final moments count. Before diving into the finale, each member took a turn to share their thoughts on the day’s unforgettable experience. They thanked the fans in attendance with heartfelt words, responding to cheers and individual shout-outs with waves, smiles, and gestures of gratitude that made the space feel personal, even in a packed venue. YE CHAN, ever the energizer, wasn’t about to let the final stage begin without a little crowd prep. He raised the mic with a grin and declared, “Okay—when SEONG IL says jump, I want you all to jump. And even when he doesn’t say jump, I still want you to jump!” Laughter and cheers filled the room as the members took their places for the final performance. Then, without missing a beat, SEOK JOON lit up the stage with his now-iconic intro to their debut track, “ FIRST CLASS .”  As soon as he shouted, “YOU KNOW I’M FIRST CLASS!”  the venue erupted—fans echoing the line in perfect unison, their voices shaking the walls. And when SEONG IL finally gave the signal— “JUMP!” —not a single soul stood still. The entire crowd moved as one, jumping, pumping fists into the air, and shouting the lyrics at full volume, matching the group’s electric energy beat for beat. It was a finale powered by joy, adrenaline, and a bond between artist and fan that could be felt in every heartbeat. As 82MAJOR said their goodbyes and began exiting the stage, they exchanged hearts, smiles, and waves with the crowd—holding on to the moment just as tightly as their fans were. But it wasn’t over just yet. As the lights dimmed, the venue was immediately filled with chants of “ENCORE!”  followed by playful barking—an inside joke between 82DE and the group. The anticipation reached its peak… and then, the stage lights flared back to life. 82MAJOR returned with bright smiles and grateful hearts, stepping into their true final stage with a warm, heartfelt performance of “Promise You.”  The energy shifted into something more tender—still powerful, but wrapped in emotion. Fans waved their lightsticks in sync, many holding back tears, others singing along with their hands over their hearts. It was a perfect closing note—a sincere promise between 82MAJOR and 82DE that this was only the beginning of something much bigger. From sound to spirit, 82MAJOR is already proving that they’re not just aiming big – they’re built for it.  You can still catch 82MAJOR on tour in Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, Des Moines, Kansas City, Albuquerque, Phoenix, and LA!

  • A2O MAY Becomes the “BOSS” of U.S. Pop Radio with Historic Top 40 Breakthrough

Superstar girl group A2O MAY continues to make history as their latest single “ BOSS ” climbs to No. 35 on Mediabase’s Top 40 chart. This milestone marks the highest placement ever achieved by a Chinese girl group, and the highest by a female Chinese artist on U.S. Top 40 radio. With “ BOSS ” following their breakout hit “ Under My Skin ” (No. 39), A2O MAY becomes the first idol group composed entirely of Chinese members to land two consecutive singles on the Top 40 chart — a groundbreaking moment in global pop music history. A2O MAY (pronounced “AY-TWO-OH-MAY”) is the first official girl group under A2O Entertainment, debuting on December 20, 2024. The lineup features five dynamic members — CHENYU (17), SHIJIE (17), QUCHANG (17), MICHE (20), and KAT (20) — selected from A2O Rookies’ HTG division. Hailing from Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hawaii, the group embodies a bilingual, multicultural identity that reflects the future of pop. With talents spanning fashion styling, piano, songwriting, visual art, and performance, A2O MAY pioneers Zalpha Pop — a genre conceptualized by legendary producer Soo Man LEE to capture the emotional nuance and narrative power of Gen Z and Alpha. As “ BOSS ” climbs the charts, A2O MAY is redefining what it means to be a global pop act. Mediabase’s Top 40 is one of the most influential airplay charts in North America, drawing data from more than 180 radio stations in the U.S. and Canada. Charting on this list signals more than popularity — it reflects mainstream recognition and broad listener resonance. For A2O MAY, a group that only debuted months ago, this achievement places them among the most promising international artists of the year. “ BOSS ” itself is a high-energy anthem that blends confident lyricism with a sleek, futuristic production style. Laced with hip-hop influences and melodic hooks, the track celebrates self-empowerment and rising above limitations — themes that echo the group’s own historic journey. The song has already garnered over 30 million views on YouTube, with fan-made content and choreography challenges circulating widely on TikTok and Instagram Reels, cementing its status as both a hit and a cultural movement. In China, “ BOSS ” debuted at No. 1 on QQ Music, one of the country's leading digital streaming platforms, further proving A2O MAY’s ability to dominate both Eastern and Western markets. Their dual-language releases allow them to seamlessly connect with audiences across continents, and their digital-first strategy has made them especially influential among Gen Z and Alpha fans worldwide. At the heart of A2O MAY’s rise is their commitment to artistic authenticity, storytelling, and boundary-breaking representation. Guided by Soo Man LEE — the visionary behind K-pop’s global expansion — the group is positioned as the voice of a new era in global entertainment. Zalpha Pop, the genre A2O MAY embodies, is more than a musical style — it’s a cultural blueprint that reflects the hopes, frustrations, and inner strength of a generation growing up in a hyperconnected, ever-evolving world. Their U.S. debut performance at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango Festival in June left a lasting impression. Sharing the stage with powerhouses like Doja Cat, David Guetta, Meghan Trainor, and Gwen Stefani, A2O MAY electrified the crowd with a sleek, choreographed set that introduced American audiences to their unique flavor of performance art. The response from fans and industry insiders alike confirmed what many already knew: A2O MAY isn’t just next — they’re now. What sets A2O MAY apart isn’t just their record-breaking success, but the narrative of transformation and resilience they carry with them. Their name — inspired by the season of May’s full bloom and the Chinese character 美 (Mei) meaning “beauty” — symbolizes not only elegance, but inner strength and the quiet confidence of becoming. Their story is one of emergence: of young women growing into global voices, of cultures coming together, and of new ideas taking root. As their discography grows and their influence spreads, A2O MAY is shaping the future of global pop music — not as imitators of the West, but as leaders of a new wave that is diverse, multilingual, and deeply connected to the emotional lives of their fans. Whether in Mandarin or English, on stage or online, they are a bridge: connecting culture to culture, generation to generation, heart to heart. The bloom has begun — and the world is watching. • POWER Talks: Unwrapping POW’s Most Tender Era Yet

POW is back — and this time, they’re inviting us into their softest, most heartfelt era yet. With their third EP Being Tender , the rising K-pop group reintroduces themselves not only as performers, but as artists learning to embrace vulnerability, maturity, and emotional warmth. K Fuse caught up with Yorch, Hyunbin, Jungbin, Dongyeon, and Hong for the third time since their debut — and it's clear that POW is evolving fast. From self-produced tracks and summer nostalgia to quiet strength and messages for their international fans, Being Tender  is more than a seasonal comeback; it’s a statement of growth. K Fuse: POW, welcome back! We’re so happy to talk with you again — this is our third time chatting, and now you’re on your third comeback. Congratulations! How are you feeling about this new era? [Yorch]  Hello, I’m Yorch from POW! It was really exciting to prepare for this album. I looked forward to meeting our fans again every single day, and I kept thinking, “I can’t wait to show them this performance.” Also, because I personally participated in the album production, I feel even more attached to it. I think it was a time when I learned a lot and grew a lot too. [Hyunbin]  We pre-debuted in summer with our song “Favorite,” so I think fans are expecting a lot for POW’s summer vibe this year. To live up to that, we filled this EP with songs that show off our different charms. They’re refreshing tracks that will help beat the summer heat, so let’s spend a cool summer together! [Jungbin]  Actually, we’ve been preparing this EP Being Tender  since last year. It’s been in the works for quite some time, so I really wanted to share it with our fans and the public. I’m so excited and happy that we finally get to release it this summer. [Dongyeon]  We’re showing POW’s European youth culture again for our fans, but this time with an even more mature side, so I’m really looking forward to it. [Hong]  I couldn’t wait to let our POWER fans and listeners hear the four tracks on our EP. I’m thrilled thinking our songs might make this hot summer feel a bit cooler! K Fuse: You’ve been teasing your comeback for weeks now. Can you tell us what Being Tender  is all about? [Yorch]   Being Tender  is an album that shows what “tenderness” means to us as POW, and how we want to share that feeling. Just as each member thinks about tenderness a bit differently, each song has its own mood and message, so you can enjoy a lot of variety. I wanted to express the warmth between people and the caring attitude we can have for each other through music. I hope our fans can feel a little warmer while listening to this album. [Dongyeon]  I think “being tender” means finding the right temperature for how you treat someone. In our busy, breathless modern lives, people get more sensitive and put up their sharp thorns. I hope this EP Being Tender  feels like a cool morning breeze in summer and helps people find the right temperature for themselves. K Fuse: Can you tell us a bit about how the concept of this comeback differs from your past releases? [Hyunbin]  This time, we released our album with a European youth culture concept for summer. Since we teased the concept from the start, I think a lot of people expected a vibe like our pre-debut song “Favorite.” Back then, we showed the pure energy of teenagers; this time, we’re showing a calmer, more delicate energy in our twenties. The fact that we’ve started thinking about “tenderness” shows how we’ve matured. [Jungbin]  Our EP Being Tender  captures POW’s debut European youth culture concept well and our slogan, “Creating Culture Everyday” which is about making everyday life special. There’s a track that talks about that slogan and others that tell stories of memories with our fans. Overall, it’s more focused on stories about our team and members. K Fuse: Yorch and Jungbin, you helped lead the production on this one, right? What was that creative process like? [Yorch]  For the title track “Being Tender,” I suggested adding a group chant at the end. The members and I kept wondering how to add more energy to the song, so we recorded it ourselves and shared demos with the company. We went through multiple revisions, and the final version you hear now is the result. That whole process was so fun and rewarding. [Jungbin]  Early on, when we got demos, we just prepared them the way we’d practiced. But with more experience, I feel like I’ve learned what makes fans enjoy and connect with songs more. I focused on highlighting that point as much as possible in the arrangements this time. I added parts that we can really enjoy together with fans on stage. K Fuse: Can you give us a sneak peek into a track you’re particularly excited about? [Hyunbin]  For me, I’m really excited about our final track “Fingerprint.” From the first listen, I thought it would be amazing to sing it with fans as a concert ending song. The lyrics talk about leaving memories behind like a fingerprint, which also means we’ll leave our memories with POWERs like a fingerprint. I’m looking forward to singing it together and creating happy memories. [Hong]  Personally, I’m excited about the track “Reason.” It’s close to a fan song — it says, “Because of you, I can sing; you’re my muse.” So I hope our POWER fans can feel our hearts through this song and feel closer to us. K Fuse: You’ve definitely created something fans will connect with. When you first heard the tracklist, was there a song you thought POWERs would fall in love with? [Jungbin]  I thought fans would love “Fingerprint.” It’s about leaving memories like fingerprints, and it reflects our experiences performing since our debut. It suits the summer season and is a song everyone can enjoy together. [Dongyeon]  I personally like “Celebrate,” but I think POWERs will love “Reason” and “Fingerprint.” “Reason” tells fans that they’re why we sing and expresses our excitement for all the memories we’ll make together. K Fuse: Can you share a TMI or behind-the-scenes story from filming the music video? [Jungbin]  On the second day of the shoot, the weather was amazing. Yorch kept falling asleep in the hammock prop during breaks. He’s older than me, but it was so cute. [Dongyeon]  I believe that to get closer to someone, you need to understand them, and to understand them, you need similar experiences. So I tried eating the cat food on set to understand the cat there — it tasted terrible! I realized if I ever get a pet, I should give them tuna or meat instead. K Fuse: What message do you hope fans take away from Being Tender ? [Yorch]  I hope this album makes fans think about “tenderness” again. Even a small word, a look, or a caring heart can warm someone’s day — I want to share that. The world is so busy and exhausting, but I hope our music can be a little comfort and make people feel, “I want to be tender to someone, too.” If they feel the warmth we felt, that’s enough for me. [Hyunbin]  While preparing this album, all the members thought a lot about “tenderness.” We realized it’s not just something you give to others — it can be something you give yourself, too. Looking back on that made my heart warmer, so I hope our fans can feel that too. K Fuse: How do you all stay grounded during busy periods like this? [Yorch]  Honestly, it’s not easy to stay balanced perfectly. But I always try not to forget my “first feelings.” Remembering the moment I first dreamed, met our fans, or stood on stage gives me strength again. The members being with me is also a huge support — we cheer each other up and joke around, so we rely on each other even more when it’s busy. And the messages and support from fans are a huge help too. Because of that, I think we can keep moving forward. [Dongyeon]  Each member has different strengths and characteristics. So when one of us leans too much to one side, the others naturally fill in the gaps. We trust each other with what needs to be done and make sure to do our parts well — that’s how we stay balanced. K Fuse: Let’s talk favorite songs. From the new album and your full discography — what are your personal picks? [Hyunbin]  Aside from the title track, my favorite is “Fingerprint.” The meaning of leaving memories like fingerprints really resonates with the experiences we’ve built since debuting. [Hong]  My personal favorite is “Reason.” I love its simple, rhythmic piano line, POW’s clear vocals, and the bouncy bass. Of course, the title track is great, but I recommend listening to “Reason” and the other songs too! K Fuse: With Dongyeon learning bass and Yorch playing electric guitar, are there any plans to experiment with new genres or concepts — like band sounds? [Yorch]  I’ve always wanted to try. We often joke, “Should we try playing in a band?” Nothing’s decided yet, but you never know — our slogan is “Creating Culture Every Day,” after all! [Dongyeon]  If we get the chance, I want to try lots of different things, and bass is one of them. I’m still self-teaching the basics, but if I get good enough, I’d love to perform for fans one day. K Fuse:  If you were not an artist, what career would you be pursuing? [Yorch]  I was always interested in soccer when I was young, so I’d probably be a soccer player. [Hyunbin]  I didn’t have a big dream, but I was interested in acting, so I think I would have pursued that. [Jungbin]  I wanted to do so many things — I think I’d be teaching something, whether it was music or sports. [Dongyeon]  I wanted to be an astronaut because I’ve always loved the mystery of space. [Hong]  Even if I weren’t an idol, I think I’d still be doing something in the arts. I’ve loved piano and composing since high school, so I’d probably still be in music. K Fuse:  Who would be your bias in the group? [Yorch]  Probably Hyunbin — his personality is like a mischievous cat, so I think it’d be fun to hang out with him. Plus, he has so many cool sides! [Hyunbin]  I’d choose Jungbin. He’s talkative and the complete opposite of me, which I find really attractive. [Jungbin]  I’d pick Yorch. I’m not great with focus or detail, but he’s so meticulous and dedicated when he’s into something — I think there’s a lot I could learn from him. [Dongyeon]  I’d go with Yorch too. Every time he shows a new side, it’s like discovering something new — it’s fun. [Hong]  I’d probably fangirl over Yorch too. He’s shy but also so gentlemanly, cute, and cool. I think he’d be the one I’d stan! K Fuse:  When you’re feeling anxious, or having a tough time during activities, how do you overcome them? [Yorch]  I sleep or work on music. When I can’t express my feelings to anyone, I put them into lyrics instead. [Hyunbin]  I just hold it in. Talking it out or crying doesn’t help me much, so I hold on and hope time fixes it. [Jungbin]  I try to shake it off quickly. If I want to cry, I cry. If I’m struggling, I acknowledge it and give myself space. That way, I can bounce back faster. [Dongyeon]  I face it by telling myself it was bound to happen eventually — it just came now. [Hong]  I believe mindset is everything, so I refresh by taking walks and listening to music. It feels like my tangled thoughts unravel one by one. K Fuse:  What are your current hobbies? [Yorch]  I love watching movies and dramas. Recently, I started watching anime that the members recommended. [Hyunbin]  Since we’ve been so busy preparing for the comeback, I don’t have time to go out much, so I watch anime in the dorm when I have time. [Jungbin]  I’ve been watching a lot of movies too. While preparing for “Being Tender,” I watched romance movies to learn about tenderness. The last one I watched was The 100th Love with You , a Japanese film. [Dongyeon]  I’ve been enjoying baseball! Mostly KBO, but now my algorithm keeps showing me MLB clips too. [Hong]  My current hobby is online window-shopping. I love clothes, so I enjoy matching outfits and imagining how they’d look. K Fuse:  How do you feel you have grown since your debut, both as individuals, and as a group? [Yorch]  Since debut, I feel like we’ve all grown so much. We were so nervous and made lots of mistakes at first, but now we know our own colors and strengths better and how to express them. [Hyunbin]  Before, our values clashed and we argued a lot, but over time, we’ve gotten so in sync that now, we tend to think the same way — our teamwork has really improved. [Jungbin]  I think now each member puts their own stories into our music. At first, we just did what we practiced, but now we try to show our true selves through our music and performances. [Dongyeon]  I think we’ve become more relaxed. Before, I took everything really seriously and felt a lot of pressure — I thought showing my real self was like showing weakness. But thanks to our fans’ love, I’ve realized it’s not a bad thing. Performing together has helped us learn about and respect each other more too. [Hong]  I’ve spent my teens and twenties as an idol — in my teens, I was fearless and excited; now in my twenties, I try to listen more and be more careful. As a team, we’re taking steady steps forward in every way. K Fuse:  Dongyeon, you have a fan that has asked – Dolphin or wolf? Haha [Dongyeon]  Haha, I think I’m more of a canine type — I’ll go with wolf! K Fuse:  Can you give any spoilers to any other projects you are currently working on, or may have planned for the future? [Yorch]  In spring, we showed a new side of POW through the web drama Always There . After Being Tender , we’re preparing more new content to share with you, so please look forward to it. [Hyunbin]  This summer, we’ll greet you with lots of fun content. Please look forward to our Powerful Youth  tour starting in September too! K Fuse: What’s one word that describes POW in 2025? [Yorch]  Growth. [Hyunbin]  POWER — thanks to POWER, we’ve been able to stay strong, and we’ll end this year strong with you too. [Jungbin]  Butterfly effect — I believe all our efforts with the members, staff, and fans will cause a butterfly effect someday. [Dongyeon and Hong]  Youth. (H) I believe any happy memory means you’re living youth, so I want to keep creating youthful memories with POWER in 2025 too. K Fuse: Now let’s dream a bit. If POW could collaborate with any artist — Korean or international — who would it be? [Yorch]  Justin Bieber and Tyler, the Creator. They’re my role models right now, so working with them would feel like a dream. [Dongyeon]  DAY6 — I love band music and their refreshing songs. I have good memories of singing their songs with the members on the way to pre-debut shoots! K Fuse: Any last words for your POWERs? [Yorch]  Thank you so much for always supporting and waiting for us. Thanks to you, we can overcome tough times and work harder every time we’re on stage. We put all our hearts into this album, so please listen to it a lot and look forward to our performances too. We’ll keep working hard to show you an even better side. We love you! [Hyunbin]  Thank you so much to everyone who sends us messages of support. We’re still lacking in many ways, but we feel like we’re growing little by little thanks to you. We’ll keep working hard to make you proud. [Jungbin]  Thank you for sharing our youth with us. We have so many stories left to tell together, so please keep being with us as we write them. [Dongyeon]  Please give our new EP Being Tender  lots of love and attention. To the POWERs who’ve watched POW grow from our awkward beginnings — I want to say we’re able to take another step forward because of you. We’ll always try to share the best with you. Thank you. [Hong]  To our fans who always support us, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Please look forward to and love our new EP Being Tender . We’ll always be artists who can give you strength wherever and whenever. Thank you! As Being Tender  unfolds with every track, POW reminds us that growth isn’t always loud — sometimes, it’s found in quiet reflection, soft lyrics, and the courage to be vulnerable. From Yorch’s heartfelt production insights and Hyunbin’s thoughtful reflections, to Jungbin’s storytelling, Dongyeon’s honesty, and Hong’s warmth, each member brings their own shade of tenderness to this new chapter. With big dreams on the horizon and POWERs by their side, POW continues to prove that their journey is one of connection, creativity, and sincerity — and the best is still to come. Jin’s vocals? Absolutely devastating in the best way. His voice walks the tightrope between sorrow and serenity, and every lyric hits like a whisper from a fading love. This album is more introspective than Happy , pulling us into the echoes of memories, love, and everything in between. Jin shows a maturity and vulnerability here that’s impossible not to connect with. If you’re in your existential romance era , this one’s for you. 🥺💔🌌   Echo  delves into the myriad moments of life, each resonating in its own unique form of an 'echo.' This concept serves as a metaphor for the various experiences that shape our existence, highlighting how they reverberate through time and memory. The album presents Jin's personal perspective on universal experiences, capturing the essence of everyday emotions with an impressive blend of warmth, sincerity, and wit. Through his thoughtful lyrics and engaging melodies, Jin invites listeners to reflect on their own lives and the echoes of their experiences, creating a profound sense of connection that transcends individual circumstances.   While his first solo album Happy  primarily focused on providing joy and happiness to listeners, Echo  takes a more introspective approach, diving deeper into the realm of genuine emotional connection. The album explores a variety of themes, such as the intricate dynamics of ‘you and me’ and ‘us,’ as well as the complexities of love, friendship, and the crossroads one encounters in everyday life. Through his music, Jin paints a broad spectrum of universal experiences, encapsulating the highs and lows of human emotions. His ability to articulate these feelings ensures that his music leaves a lasting impression—much like an echo that gently lingers in the hearts and minds of listeners long after the final note has faded. The main track of Echo , titled “ Don’t Say You Love Me ,” is a poignant pop track that artfully carries a sense of loneliness and lyricism over a simple yet captivating soundscape. The song depicts the complex emotions inherent in a relationship that is unraveling, where both individuals are grappling with pain yet find it difficult to let go of one another. • Stray Kids Put On ‘5-Star’ Performance in Washington D.C. Amid Intense Heat Wave

Written by Caitlin F On June 23, along the bank of the Anacostia River, the grueling June sun bore its oppressive rays down on Nationals Park in Washington D.C. Another victim to the extreme heat: hundreds of Stray Kids  fans, known as STAY, who lined the streets of the Navy Yard neighborhood waiting to gain entrance into the stadium for the K-Pop boy group’s long awaited concert. Photo Credit: Caitlin F. Traveling to five continents and stopping in 40 cities, the World Tour  marks Stray Kids’ biggest tour since their debut in 2018. The group, consisting of leader Bang Chan, and members Lee Know , Changbin , Hyunjin , Han , Felix , Seungmin , and I.N., was set to put on their first-ever performance in the U.S. capital city, an area the group notably did not visit on their three previous tours. The day of, however, came with complications, even before the concert officially started. With a high of 98 degrees and a heat index value of up to 110 degrees, STAY was left to wait in unorganized lines while battling the agonizing heat. VIP ticket holders arrived as early as possible to secure their spots in the general admission pits and get into the venue for the scheduled soundcheck at 5:00 PM. However, fans reported that once 5:00 PM rolled around, hundreds of fans were still waiting outside to get in  due to inefficient entry checkpoints and slow security lines. VIP entrances closed, and the remaining fans were refused entry into the group’s soundcheck performance, despite waiting at the proper time . The actual show began around 7:45 PM, about fifteen minutes behind schedule. The LED screens on each side of the massive stage went black as the familiar chants and electric guitar riffs of “ SKZ Anthem ” began ringing loud and clear from the stadium’s speakers. STAY shouted along to the group’s iconic motto, “Stray Kids everywhere, all around the world.” Photo Credit: Caitlin F. The anthem then transitioned into a theatrical marching band-inspired display complete with fireworks and pyrotechnics as the octet finally made their way onto the stage. As the intense drums of “ MOUNTAINS ” began echoing, the crowd erupted into cheers. Clad in intricately embellished grey outfits, the group hyped up the crowd and began their powerful performance with their strong rap skills and fierce vocals. The track then faded into one of Stray Kids’ most iconic songs, “ Thunderous ,” which boasts over 300 million streams on Spotify. Rappers Changbin and Han kicked off the performance of the band version of the track, gracing STAY’s ears with their fiery rap abilities. The blue lightning visuals and lasers surrounding the members then morphed into images of syrups, honey, and slime-like liquid as they transitioned into their next track, “ JJAM ,’ from their latest mini-album ATE . As the members caught their breath, they took the time to individually introduce themselves. “The weather is…it’s quite cold, isn’t it?” Bang Chan joked with the crowd. “Nah, it’s really hot. So make sure you guys stay hydrated!” The show went on as the group threw it back to their debut song, “ District 9 ,” and another old hit, “ Back Door .” While the group took the time to go backstage and change their outfits, background dancers (known as TEAM SKZ) came out onto the stage to perform a dance medley of some of Stray Kids’ greatest hits and fan-favorite tracks. The mashup included “ Hellevator ,” “ Easy ,” “ S-Class ,” “ Walkin on Water ,” “ Charmer ,” “ VENOM ,” and “ Hall of Fame .” Photo Credit: Caitlin F. The members then reappeared, this time sporting bright red suits and jackets and leisurely lounging on a vintage red car. They brought the energy back with their hip-hop reggaeton track, “ Chk Chk Boom ,” before shedding their jackets and enticing the crowd to perform their fan-favorite, “ DOMINO .” STAY head-banged and jumped along with the members for the hype track. “ God’s Menu ,” the group’s most successful song to date, which has amassed over 430 million streams since its release, was the next banger on the setlist. The performance utilized the live band, transforming the song into a more intense, rock version of the already powerful track. As the members went backstage for a second time, the band took the opportunity to show off their impressive skills. Guitarist Garret Jones , bassist Jon Reshard , drummer Jamar Moore,  and keyboardist Yung Wurld  flaunted their instrumental mastery with short solos that kept the crowd exhilarated as the show transitioned. Felix and Han then returned to the stage to perform their experimental unit song, “ Truman ,” which talks about their desire to carve their own path in the industry and always keep it real. The duo electrified the crowd and proved their rap star power as they danced around the stage with their background dancers.  During the following ment, Felix explained the song's origins, “You guys inspired us to write something sort of hype. We’re the ones who cooked it, but you’re the ones who spiced it up. So tonight, thanks to you, we cooked!” “ Burnin’ Tires ,” the fierce rap-rock hybrid song by Changbin and I.N., came next. The duo worked together to captivate fans, creating a high-energy environment that kept STAY on their toes. Changbin’s insane rap abilities took control of the beat while I.N. 's powerful vocals shone throughout the performance. “We hope you can achieve your goals after listening to this song,” Changbin expressed, while thanking fans. The next unit performance was Bang Chan and Hyunjin’s heated track “ Escape .” Gracing the stage in seductive all-black leather outfits, the duo contrasted with their background dancers, who were clad in haunting white hoods, shrouding them in an air of mystery. The duo passionately sang about their desires to break free from their shackles and escape from reality. About the meaning of the song, Hyunjin and Bang Chan joked back and forth with each other. “I wanted to prepare a love song, but you wanted to prepare something…” Hyunjin argued, trailing off as the crowd erupted into laughter. “It’s a very…sweet and cute song!” Bang Chan joked about the sensual number. Photo Credit: Caitlin F. Lee Know and Seungmin took the stage to perform the final unit song, “ Cinema .” The intimate ballad began with the two members lying beside each other on the stage, washes of cool blue light and moody fog surrounding them as they sang. As fans waved their bright lightsticks in the air, Seungmin, the main vocalist of the group, exhibited his vocal prowess with clear high notes. Lee Know, who is more notably one of the strongest dancers in the group, was able to put his strong vocal abilities on display through the performance. The duo truly created a cinematic experience for the crowd as confetti shot through the air, looking reminiscent of the first snow in winter. As the performance concluded, fireworks went off into the sky and the names of hundreds of STAY danced across the screen like movie credits, as if to say: “These are the people that made this magical night happen.” To ring in the second act of the show, the complete octet returned to the stage to perform the Korean version of their Japanese track, “ Giant .” Behind them, a real giant grey man grew from the stage in front of a fiery red backdrop, looming over the members as they began the striking number. The group then went on to perform “ Walkin on Water ,” the old school hip-hop inspired track from their latest mixtape HOP . They then transitioned into another one of their’ top hits, “ S-Class ,” opting to perform the VMA version of the track. Winding down the energy a bit, the group then went on to sing “ Lonely St. ” and “ Cover Me ,” dedicating the touching song to their lovely STAY. Stray Kids then brought the heat, performing three of their most hype tracks in a row: “ Topline ,” which features the iconic rapper Tiger JK,  and the Korean version of their Japanese hit “ Social Path ,” which features one of Japan's most celebrated rock singers,  LiSA . The group ended the string of jams with their drift phonk hit, “ LALALA ,” concluding the bender with an electrifying firework display that lit up the skies of Washington D.C. in a sea of red and orange. Photo Credit: Caitlin F. Before the group said their final goodbyes, leader Bang Chan went out of his way to check on the well-being of STAYs  in the crowd. “If anyone’s feeling dizzy or too hot, please raise your hand,” he prompted. Other members joined in scanning the audience to provide help where it was needed, even going as far as sharing their own water bottles with fans who were in need . The group then took a second to regroup backstage, setting aside a few minutes to allow people to get help, water, and medical attention from security and staff. When the eight members took the stage once again, Bang Chan let it be known that they would be moving along with the show rather quickly to prioritize the safety of everyone in attendance. “So, here’s the point where we say our final goodbyes,” the leader declared with a chuckle. “But, we’re not going to do that today. We’re just going to say that we did! We’re going to show some really good performances, so I hope you guys enjoy!” They then went on to present their last two songs, bringing back the liveliness of the crowd as they performed the vivacious track, “ MEGAVERSE .” Hyunjin stood out with his engaging facial expressions and sharp dance moves. The crowd then erupted into cheers as the beginning riffs of the MAMA version of their beloved track, “ MANIAC, ” began. The group brought their all to the stage despite the intense heat and proved their lasting star power as they ended Washington D.C.’s first-ever Stray Kids concert with a bang. However, “MANIAC” wasn’t supposed to be the end of the tour stop in D.C. Based on previous stops, the group was supposed to return to the stage for two more encores, going around the stadium on carts to interact with STAYs in the higher sections of the venue and sing around eight more songs. After around twenty minutes and no return from the members, a spokesperson of Nationals Park made the tough announcement that the rest of the show would no longer be proceeding for the sake of everyone’s safety due to the number of heat-related illnesses that had already occurred. With that, fans began filing out of the stadium, some with looks of disappointment and confusion, others with faces of relief that they would no longer have to stay in the heat. Photo Credit: Caitlin F. Many fans took to social media to express their disappointment and anger at the lack of care provided by Nationals Park staff throughout the day. Videos surfaced of venue staff providing no help  when a fan was seemingly about to pass out due to the oppressive heat. According to fans, despite the number of emergencies happening within the crowd, staff still made attendees pay for water, and ran out of water too quickly. Miscommunication between the venue and fans led to many fans being told to dump unopened water bottles, despite Nationals Park posting on social media (after doors were already open) that sealed water bottles were allowed in . In total, six fans ended up hospitalized due to heat-related illnesses  and the perceived negligence of Nationals Park and Live Nation. Praise was sent to Stray Kids and fellow fans for their attention to those who were struggling. Despite the struggles with the extreme heat wave and heat-related complications, Stray Kids took Washington, D.C., by storm. The group did not cut corners on their performances, delivering polished choreography, powerful vocals, and masterful rapping, truly dominating the stage. The eight-member boy group will be remembered by D.C. STAY for their efficient professionalism in the tough situation and their ability to put on an amazing show despite barriers. Stray Kids will be concluding the North American leg of the tour on June 29 in Toronto, Ontario. Grab your tickets here  while you still can! • H1-KEY Returns with Lovestruck, a Sun-Soaked Ode to Fleeting Moments

Some summers change you. Some songs remember it for you. With Lovestruck , H1-KEY captures both. H1-KEY  — the four-member K-pop group known for their uplifting messages and emotional clarity — has returned with their latest mini album, Lovestruck . Featuring the title track “Summer Was You” (여름이었다)  and four additional songs, the EP is a heartfelt reflection on the fleeting magic of youth, love, and healing — told through shimmering instrumentation and quietly powerful vocals. Comprised of SEOI, RIINA, HWISEO , and YEL , H1-KEY debuted with a concept centered around confident, healthy beauty  but soon found their artistic voice in emotional storytelling. Their 2023 breakout “Rose Blossom”  became a viral success for its message of resilience, and since then, they’ve released a string of tracks that speak to personal growth, hope, and emotional courage. From the city-born dreams of “Seoul Dreaming”  to the passionate honesty of “LOVE or HATE,”  H1-KEY has embraced their identity as healing idols  — and with Lovestruck , they take that message to even greater depth. Opening the EP with a tender breeze, “Good for U” feels like a sunrise after rain. A mid-tempo track with soft acoustic flourishes and subtle harmonies, it offers gentle encouragement to let go of what no longer serves you — even if it hurts. The song strikes a balance between bittersweet acceptance and quiet strength, showcasing the group’s nuanced vocal delivery. The title track is an instant standout — a guitar-driven, band-style anthem that burns with the bittersweet glow of a perfect summer day. Lyrically, “Summer Was You” captures the emotional contrast of a season that’s bright, intense, and gone too soon. The chorus blooms with melodic warmth while subtly hinting at regret, making it a standout track for those chasing — or mourning — golden memories. With playful energy and rhythmic bounce, “One, Two, Three, Four” delivers a refreshing shift in mood. Built on bright synths and dynamic vocal layering, it celebrates simple moments of joy and connection. Beneath the bubbly surface is a deeper message about learning to move forward step-by-step, even when the future feels uncertain. One of the most poetic moments on the album, “Let Me Be Your See” plays with metaphor in a way that only H1-KEY can. The wordplay between “sea” and “see” speaks to the desire to be both a source of calm and a person who truly understands you. With lush instrumentation and cinematic build-up, it’s a slow-burning ballad that leaves a lasting impression — introspective, yet hopeful. Closing the album is the instrumental version of the title track — a space to revisit the emotions stirred earlier, now stripped of lyrics but rich with resonance. It’s a fitting conclusion to an album that invites personal reflection and emotional openness. With Lovestruck , H1-KEY offers more than just a collection of songs — it’s a carefully composed snapshot of life’s brightest, most fragile moments. Built around themes of memory, vulnerability, and strength, this EP invites listeners to embrace the emotional complexity of summer: the light, the loss, and the lingering warmth. “These songs shine brightest when the heart needs healing and the soul seeks courage.” And in true H1-KEY fashion, they deliver both. For many in the audience, it was their first time hearing his music live, and from the very first beat, it was clear: this wasn’t just a set—it was a moment . He rolled through fan-favorite tracks like “V for Vendetta,” " Foreigner , " "Web,” and " Ride or Die,”  effortlessly switching from vulnerability to full swagger. Before he performed “ Libra Energy ,”  he turned to the crowd, “I want to know what you think my Zodiac sign is.” A bold “LIBRA!” rang out—met with Alan’s smile and a fan’s reply: “I only know because you said it earlier in one of your songs!” The crowd erupted, a testament to how tuned-in and connected the crowd felt with him. " Chill " and “ Good Enough ”  broke the emotional barrier. As Alan sang, “Am I good enough~” , the crowd shouted back in unison: “YES YOU ARE!” It wasn’t just a call-and-response — it was a release . Alan Z’s performance was more than music—it was a shared emotional experience. And by the time he stepped offstage, one thing was certain: he didn’t just make a debut in Knoxville. He made an impact. • Stray Kids Find Their Place in the New York Hall of Fame

Written by Diana A pulse of excitement ricocheted through Queens on the morning of June 18. Concertgoers clad on the 7 train were easy to spot with their clear stadium bags and SKZOO keychains on their outfits. As crowds in a sea of red and black converged on the plaza outside of Citi Field, anticipation hung over the stadium like a thunderous storm cloud. STAY Gather at Citi Field, Photo Credit Leo S. STAYs – as the fandom of K-pop group Stray Kids is affectionately called – had been awaiting the DominATE Tour to hit North America since it kicked off in Asia last August. Lines snaked around the stadium parking lot as those with the VIP package waited to check in, while others braved the extreme heat to buy merchandise. Some fans walked up and down the lines handing out freebies – in K-pop fandom culture, these are free gifts made by fans and they range from photocards to bracelets, and even handheld fans. Most were accompanied by a piece of candy, which was a sweet relief in the midst of the impending summer heat. Those with the VIP packages were let in ahead of everyone else to attend the group’s soundcheck, and then the doors officially opened to the general crowd around 5:30 PM. As showtime neared, the crowd began to light up in red as everyone’s lightsticks automatically synchronized with the show’s effects. The show officially kicked off with a boisterous display of showmanship, before the group themselves even got on stage. A backup dancer wielding what appeared to be a lightsaber twirled around a platform, while two others flanked on either side of the stage banging Korean drums on the screens. Flag bearers lined the stage shortly thereafter, and a procession marched down the extended stage. JYP ENTERTAINMENT, Sarah Waxberg It was an introduction fit for royalty, and it was even more fitting when Stray Kids finally appeared onstage; their first costumes for the night resembled princely attire. As fireworks shot up into the sky (the first of many throughout the night), the group started off their massive setlist with “ Mountains ,” a conquering anthem perfect for a stadium show. The octet – made up of leader Bang Chan and members Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. – then proceeded to perform back-to-back high-energy songs; the audience was properly pumped up less than an hour into the concert.  While the boys went backstage for their first costume change, an elaborate group of dancers took the stage to perform a medley of Stray Kids’ choreography. It was the highest number of dancers seen at any concert, and made the collective feel like a proper celebration of how far Stray Kids had come. The units were up next. “ Truman ” (Felix and Han) and “ Burnin’ Tires ” (Changbin and I.N.) were energetic tunes that had the crowd jumping; the latter with Changbin specifically imploring the audience to repeat the song’s hook several times after the performance was over. Bang Chan and Hyunjin’s “ Escape ” shifted the tone to a sensual, post-apocalyptic plea for freedom that kept the audience engaged as though they were watching a film. But it was Lee Know and Seungmin’s “ Cinema ” that truly stood out among the unit performances. Although the only slow-paced track, the ballad gave the duo’s vocals their chance to shine, especially Seungmin’s beautiful vibrato. The crowd appeared like a turquoise ocean as everyone’s lightsticks were set to a pretty blue color. As the song neared its end, fireworks shot up into the darkening sky. The screens then displayed a backdrop of the audience, as a credit roll of names ascended over it. They were names of actual STAYs in the crowd, and Seungmin called out one name later on to address that particular fan (Sophie, of which there were most likely many Sophies in attendance). As the boys continued with their booming setlist – with a brief respite during the performances of slower songs “ Lonely St. ” and “ Cover Me ” (the latter once again blessed with Seungmin’s standout vocals, and causing emotions to ring high) – one performance stuck out so much that fans could not stop talking about it for days to come. “ LALALALA ,” the title track from their 8th mini album, is a fan favorite for its preceding fan chant and infectious energy. A performance of the song had been witnessed during their Lollapalooza set in 2024, but this was something truly special. As fans were breathlessly entranced by the synchronized crowd while they all jumped and danced together, there were pyrotechnic effects and fireworks accompanying the spectacle. A sense of unity like never experienced before swept through the crowd; as the lyrics stated, it truly did feel like they would not stop dancing. It was the definition of lightning in a bottle – that moment would never exist again, and how lucky they all were to experience it together. The encore proceeded several songs later, with the boys being rolled on carts around the length of the stadium, much to the delight of the fans sitting in the lower bowl. This gave those fans an opportunity to interact much closer with the members, who were enthusiastically dancing, completing hand hearts, and reacting to signs. Once the members returned to the stage, the mood shifted as they delved into “ Blind Spot ” and the self-titled “ Stray Kids ” – both songs that champion how far the group has come, and all their accomplishments. It felt appropriate that it was followed with a surprise fan project; a video highlighting the gratitude of STAYs from New York and all over the world. Photo by JYP Entertainment The members closed out their set with “ MIROH ,” including fireworks, an EDM-inspired beat and a “Stray Kids” chant per chorus that has become a staple of all their shows. In pure K-Pop fashion, the boys pretended to leave, only to return for their real encore of “ Chk Chk Boom (Festival Version) .” This remix of their hit track turned the concert into a rave for three minutes, with some boys getting close to the fans at barricade and others splashing the nearest crowd with their water bottles. Every stop on the North American leg had gotten a surprise encore track at the very end. Night 1 at Citi Field was blessed to get a performance of “ Hall of Fame ,” the opener on their third studio album 5-Star . Fans were ecstatic to experience this song live, as it has been a favorite of theirs for the past two years. Three hours and 35 songs later, the concert was over, and all 40,000 fans went home with happy hearts. It is worth concluding this piece with a favorite moment that actually occurred the following day. The concert was delayed due to a thunderstorm in the area, which gave Stray Kids a chance to really show that they can walk on water. Despite this, the energy was no less dampened than the day prior, and the STAYs in attendance were eager to see the group perform. Due to the proximity of Citi Field to LaGuardia Airport, planes could be seen every so often flying above the stadium. Bang Chan pointed it out a few times the first night. On that second night, he decided to take it a step further; during the segment where the group encouraged sections of the crowd to scream, Bang Chan insisted he would not proceed until a plane passed overhead. Much to his dismay, a plane did not fly by in that moment. A few minutes later, the crowd went absolutely wild as a plane granted Bang Chan’s wishes and flew over the stadium, delighting the group. Such whimsical moments like this add to the charm that is a Stray Kids concert; a safe space for all who wander to find joy in the small things life has to offer. Here, everyone is in their Hall of Fame.
