Ghosts in the System: How Ghostone Records Quietly Rewired Asia’s Electronic Future

December 11, 2025 marked a defining moment for the global electronic music landscape as Pacific Music Group officially unveiled Ghostone Records, its electronic and dance music imprint designed to elevate Pan Asian talent on an international scale. Founded by an influential collective that includes NE YO, Sonu Nigam, MC Jin, and veteran music executive Jonathan Serbin, Pacific Music Group’s expansion into electronic music signaled a deliberate move toward shaping the future of global dance culture through an Asian centered lens. Rather than arriving as a traditional label launch, Ghostone Records entered the scene as a statement of intent, positioning Asia not as an emerging market but as a driving force within the global electronic ecosystem.



Headquartered in Hong Kong with a Pan Asian operational reach, Ghostone Records was introduced as a cultural bridge between East and West at a time when electronic music audiences across Asia were experiencing unprecedented growth. Festival attendance, club culture, and global streaming engagement across the region had already made Asia one of the most engaged electronic music markets in the world. Central to the imprint’s debut was the appointment of internationally acclaimed Thai DJ and producer 22Bullets as President of Ghostone Records. Tasked with overseeing A and R, creative direction, and the imprint’s long term vision, his leadership brought immediate credibility to the label’s mission. Already regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s most influential electronic artists, 22Bullets’ career had long embodied the cross border success Ghostone aimed to cultivate. His historic entry into the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list as the first Thai artist to do so further underscored the symbolic weight of his role, making his presidency feel both earned and forward thinking.



Jonathan Serbin, Co Founder of Pacific Music Group, described Ghostone Records as a natural extension of PMG’s broader mission to champion world class talent and global collaboration. Ghostone Records made its debut with an inaugural roster that included 22Bullets and Chinese DJ and producer Lizzy Wang, whose signing immediately reinforced the imprint’s Pan Asian focus. Lizzy Wang’s release of “Glow,” accompanied by an official lyric video, served as the label’s first official musical offering. The single arrived just ahead of her highly anticipated performance at EDC Thailand in January, creating a natural bridge between the imprint’s launch and its presence on one of the region’s most prominent festival stages. The release functioned not only as a personal creative statement for Lizzy but also as a clear introduction to Ghostone’s sonic direction and artistic priorities.



Already recognized as one of Asia’s most globally visible electronic artists, Lizzy Wang entered the Ghostone era with significant momentum. Her inclusion in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs rankings and recent performances across Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Singapore had positioned her as a key figure in Asia’s electronic export movement. Her upcoming EDC Thailand debut further amplified the significance of “Glow,” allowing the track to resonate as both a career milestone and a defining moment in Ghostone Records’ early identity. Lizzy later described joining the imprint as the beginning of a new creative chapter, one rooted in showcasing the global potential of Asian electronic music without compromise.
